Magpies is just perfect, the hosts have thought of everything and the room was so comfortable. The gardens are wonderful, and the location is idyllic.
If we get the opportunity, wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you so much Jane! :)

The hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was a good size and comfortable. Although close to the centre of Horsham and to the ring road it was quiet even with the windows open at night.
The breakfast was good and plenty to eat.
We will definitely stay there again.

Everything about this property and the lovely people who own it was fantastic. So great! Thank you.
Slinfold is a nice village which deserves a bit of peace.

Nice war memorial and church, friendly local shop.
No museums or theme parks. The local Sussex BID team are in charge.
I was neutral and don't really stare into people's gardens.
Just ticked off a war memorial and church.
The former Sotheby's auction premises at Billingshurst are drivable and actually can be reached by bus and walk.
There were quite a few interesting bits of flora including a daff I had never seen before and an orchid by the stream.

Slinfold is a pretty village a couple of miles from the large town of Horsham. Horsham doesn't appear to have many hotels, so Random Hall was a good find, enjoying the best of both worlds of a rural setting close to a market town with lots of amenities.
Sensitively modernised historic building. Clean comfortable rooms with excellent en-suite. Beautiful surroundings close to the attractions of West Sussex. Quiet. Ample safe parking plus charging points for electric vehicles. Good restaurant and perfectly cooked full English or continental breakfast. Pleasant bar area to return to at end of evening. Proprietor and staff very helpful and professional. Why risk the uncertainties of a rented holiday flat when you can get all the amenities of a traditional good hotel for the same cost.
We were greeted by a wonderful friendly welcome from Richard who showed us the facilities and took us up to our room. The room as all through the hotel was immaculately clean and tidy. The room spacious and on the same time comfortable with a cozy relaxing feel.
The bed was lovely and the shower was hot and had a great pressure to it.
We had drinks in the bar which were very reasonable and breakfast which although a busy time came quickly and was a lovely way to end the stay.
I'd definitely recommend staying at Random Hall.
Outstanding breakfast, delicious healthy fresh English cooked and buffet breakfast even for this gluten-free vegan traveler, and even early morning after the hosts were up late with a music event in a distant town! Jane and Kevin are lovely hosts and their property is beautiful, in a peaceful and beautiful farming area. We walked to the Red Lyon pub in nearby Slinfold Village for supper and thoroughly enjoyed the golden-sunlight outdoor dining area on picnic tables at the back. All in all a superlative experience!
Fabulous full English breakfast, comfortable bed and spacious bedroom with sofa and chairs ,fridge ,coffee/tea making facilities, TV with Netflix, own entrance and friendly helpful proprietor. Though it is next door to an Event Hotel there was no noise, extremely quiet even though there was a party going on, which I knew about as I had enquired about having a meal at the hotel and was informed it was booked for a party. Red Lion pub in Slinfold well worth a visit as is Petworth House, and Horsham.
Easy to find and good location for our needs (visiting family in Horsham). The standard of food for dinner was very good - the main course that I had was really delicious. Breakfast the next day was also very good. Very different from the average Premier Inn. Nice to see 4 EV chargers in the spacious car park. Not sure they were mentioned in the hotel publicity. Perfect if you are staying.
Perfect for short stay in countryside, 20 mins from Gatwick in case you need to travel from there. Rooms beautiful furnished with taste. Cheaper or in line with a 3 or 4 star hotel, yet with the full flavour of British traditional hotel. Ultra comfy beds. Breakfast cooked to order. Quality dinner available. Free parking (unlike most hotels nowadays).
This hotel is an independent, run by a family, with great personal attention to guests. Lovely flowering borders outside. A duck pond. Lovely breakfast and home made pastries. Books to borrow. Nice quiet room. Great views.
