We had a lovely big room with bathroom. Shower over bath worked well and complementary products were good quality as were the towels. Staff friendly and food good with some nice diversity from typical pub food.

Great hosts. Very personable. Offered coffee, tea, soda and beer upon arrival. Same are available free in community fridge. Room leaves nothing to want for. Plenty of outlets, good lighting, even built in USB outlets by one side of bed. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Wish I could rate this higher than 10.

You were informed of everything you needed to know about your stay before you got there. Also arranging your check-in before you arrived and how to get into the property outside normal hours. Breakfast was brilliant they were there on hand to provide what you required from the preset form you filled in the day before. The staff were very warm and welcoming and couldn't do enough for you.

We only went for the Haynes motor museum on one day and Fleet Air Arm museum the next, both were excellent and well worth it. Sparkford central to both and didn't investigate the area further as we had our days planned.

I use this hotel/pub sometimes when travelling to Plymouth from London as it is very close to the A303, is family run, and has a good choice of food. In the Summer there are good walks over fields and footpaths to nearby villages, and in the winter ( or at any time of year) the nearby Haynes Motor Museum is a wonderful place to while away an hour or two with stunningly restored cars and motor cycles from around the world through the ages.

Sparkford itself is a linear town with little to see but it does have an excellent Museum of motoring which is outstanding . It is also surrounded by countryside but so it the whole of the west country . We ate a t the Sparkford Inn and the food was excellent - but some of the staff were grumpy and unhelpful .I would not stay at the Inn again .

I enjoyed my stop over after driving down from London en rout to my holiday home in Devon.
Nice to follow footpaths across fields and visit the local church and then finish up with a glass of cider and a tasty meat pie and fall asleep in a warm and comfortable bed.
It sets me up for the rest of my journey the next day, which I could do in one day but I enjoy the stop over now and will keep going back there.
Conveniently located 10 minutes from friends we were visiting, Sparkford Inn offered good value accommodation for a 2 night weekend stay. We chose it for the large size family room that could accommodate our two boys and us comfortably and a decent breakfast was included in the price which was very reasonable. The room was very spacious, had nice linen and a large tv plus some basic tea/ coffee making facilities. The landlady was very accommodating of my 3 year olds request for ‘dippy eggs’ at breakfast.
Good old British 14th Century pub in the heart of Sparkford providing Traditional pub food and ales.
I ordered the Big mix grill which was massive .
The rooms were clean and spacious and clean .
Its been mordernaised but kept its historic feel and the staff are friendly .

Has its locals in the week who are polite and make conversation .

I recently stayed at the Sparkford Inn for one night in a Double Deluxe. The room was large, and even had a lounge that I wasn’t expecting! The bed was huge and really was one of the comfiest beds I’ve slept in. A great nights sleep!
The staff were lovely and served a great breakfast. They were very accommodating and even offered me a lift when I couldn’t get a taxi.
Really great, family run place that had a lovely atmosphere.
I would stay again if I was back in the area.
Staff were absolutely amazing! Couldnt do enough for you.
We had trouble with our room key when we came back around just after mid night.
We contacted the hotel thinking that maybe it would of been too late, but the man came and let us in.
He and the young lady with brown hair were amazing and very polite.
Thanks for an amazing stay. Will definitely stay again and would recommend to others.
Thank you!
Situated half way on our trip to Cornwall. Beautifully decorated room, comfy Hypnos bed. Good food in pub bar. Breakfast good as well. Friendly staff. Garden to enjoy a drink in the sun. Will return. Recommend the Sparkford Inn highly.
Sparkford Inn is a beautiful old pub. Lots of interesting features and well maintained. Lady who served breakfast was lovely and food was good. Room was spacious and clean
