From the moment we arrived and were greeted by a smiley Jo we were instantly made to feel at home.
The house is gorgeous and the room we had was beautifully furnished with the comfiest bed ever.
Tea and coffee facilities were in the room and there was a self-serve array of croissants, bread, eggs etc to help yourself to in the morning.
This was a most pleasant surprise.

The High Street in Street has plenty of choice for eating...
The High Street in Street has plenty of choice for eating and drinking and, of course, the Clarks Village is just a minute's walk away. The Bear Inn, is a fabulous pub, restaurant and hotel all in one. There is also a Fondo Lounge on the High Street, a great ecclectic bar/restaurant brand which we love. Not far at all from Glastonbury too, so you can pop in and out without paying Glastonbury prices! There is also an outside public swimming pool for any adventurous tourists. We didn't use the buses but there were plenty of them around. Street is a compact, well connected and well resourced satellite town, and a great base for travelling inland and coastal Somerset.

Great shopping centre just across the road from The Bear Inn.
Plenty of things to do. Glastonbury great for eating and little shop.
Street good for larger outlets and coffee bar with snack quick bites to eat.
If you want easy access to the shopping at Street then The Bear Inn is the best place to stay.

Clarks village is great for shopping at discount designer prices and easy to navigate around. Nice place for food and drinks. Glastonbury high Street not far, recommend a walk up the Torr, recommend Rainbows end Cafe. Breakfast in the Bear was lovely. The Bear is a nice pub to meet friends for drink and food.

Lovely place Street, Clarks Shopping Village, the market and the high street shops plenty to see and the eateries there are many choices in and around. We used this as our base to travel to other points within Somerset although not many miles from other places it takes a long time to travel, little streets mainly the issue, obviously expected though (i.e. 15 miles took 36 mins driving). We went to Ivythorn Sporting, if you like range shooting then this is the best place around, Steve, fabulous man very informative and helped us make the most of our stay whilst in Somerset. Walking Brean Down was wonderful so much history to see, well worth the walk and the lovely cafe's on site. If you haven't been then it is well worth a visit. Very close proximity to lots of the coast line, Cheddar Gorge, we had the most fantastic Thai meal at ZenThai and also fish and chips in Cheddar. Most of all the weather was very kind and the sun shone for a short stay. We will return again.

Stay are helpful and kind and the food good, however All the staff are young and I feel lack experience
This is reflected in the rooms
Our room rm 12 air con not working meaning windows had to be open pub / bar very noisy and traffic loud bathroom had mouldy tiles and a rusty bath tv remote hardy worked and the windows were filthy all little things easy to put right back t hadn’t been.
Other guests we found out had complained and had been moved.
Such a shame as it should be a lovely getaway location we stayed last year totally different experience

Good base for sightseeing in the area, Glastonbury, Wells and Frome within easy reach. Large retail outlet with lots of well known names and plenty of parking in middle of village. Useful bus service so car not essential
Good location for stop off to Cornwall, Street lovely town. Hotel dated, beds comfortable and rooms good size. Dog friendly. Lovely breakfast. Very noisy main road, made worse by loud singing and talking outside hotel until 1am, hard to tell if residents or not. One room had outdated bathroom. Both rooms needed better windows to keep noise out. Served a purpose for our need but if staying ask for a room at the back
My sincerest thanks to Jo for your warm hospitality!! You know exactly what the travellers need. We were so impressed by what you have thoughtfully prepared for us. Hygge Somerset is a beautiful place, so cozy with good location (esp for Millfield parents), very friendly neighbourhood, nice room with comfy bed, good breakfast with so many choices... Hygge Somerset is highly recommended!
It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The owners are kind, warm and very accessible. They made the most of the space they have and even put thoughtful touches like soap in the bathroom and kitchen for the dishes and laundry. It is also a great location in-between Street and Glastonbury.
The accomodation was very spacious and well appointed. Everything that we required was readily available. We found the location of the property to be excellent, very close to supermarkets, restaurants and other local facilities. An ideal base for exploring the beauties of Somerset.
The oldshool pub on high street doesn´t show off. It is from outside a simpel building with pub and restaurant. The rooms are clean, frindly and quiet. The beds are perfect! The dinner was excellent and the people working in that place give you the feeling beeing a friend. Thank you.
Family group, travelling together Hygge provided the accommodation we needed. Rooms were comfortable and clean and kitchen and lounge area was useful. Parking in road. Jo was a very welcoming host.
Central location for visiting Street or Glastonbury.
Very close to Street Outlet Shopping Village. And not far from Glastonbury.
Excellent value for money.
Very friendly and hospitable staff.
The food was excellent and the breakfast was more than we could manage.
The property was spacious and very clean. It had everything you could need … a home away from home. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a few days in Somerset… a great base to explore the area.
An excellent place to stay. We wanted to stay in Street (not Glastonbury) so ideal for us. A lovely location and very comfortable. Place could have been tricky to find but the instructions were spot on.
Room is good value for money. Nice breakfast and friendly staffs. Most importance is the best location to stay when we send our kids back to Millfield school. We always pick this hotel.
Great location to visit the surrounding area Glastonbury, Weston-Super-Mare, Longleat, Stonehenge & Salisbury, Bath and the very local outlet village in Street.
