The location of Trend-Luxe Studio Apartments is perfect for anyone wanting to be directly in the city centre. The studio apartment was immaculately clean with a really well-designed, modern layout that is ideal for a solo/couple traveller. The facilities were excellent with a great kitchen, good sized TV, communal lounge space, free Wi-Fi (that was fast and stable) and even a shared laundry room. The bed was really comfortable and the en-suite bathroom was very well designed with an excellent shower. Also, I have to mention the towels because those provided were what you’d find in any good hotel! Communication with the property was professional, friendly and fast. All in all a really excellent place to stay in the city centre for a very reasonable price.

You need to book well in advance if you want to watch the Black Cats at the stadium of light! There is a nice railway connection to nearby Seaham if you want to visit. You can walk along the Wear through a sculpture park and the city centre is excellent for cheap food and drink.

Sunderland was good, but if you want 4* service at 4* prices don't go to The Grand. Only pub food and you make your own bed and carry out own room service. REALLY NOT ON.
Good point, staff lovely and very helpful

It far exceeded expectations.
It far exceeded expectations.
The accommodation was really lovely and to a high specification.
We had a fabulous meal out at Antico who fitted us in early when already fully booked and a really nice walk down pier in the evening.
Struggled with finding DC chargers for car though :0(
Will definitely stay here again. We booked in to be near Stadium of Light for a concert. This hotel and their staff went above and beyond to accommodate everyone who was attending the concert. They had arranged a pamphlet with all the details one would need to get their way around. Good choice of hot and cold items for breakfast. Lovely, clean and comfortable room. Attentive, polite and friendly staff. Not too far to the Metro.
AA Sunderland defrauded me, the hotel doesn't exist, after booking a room with AA Sunderland, a day before my check in the hotel was asking for more additional £50. On the check in day, I called multiple times and no one answered, even when I emailed, I got no reply.
Luckily for me, I used Paypal, after investigating the matter, Paypal refunded me in full.
Please beware, AA Sunderland is fraud.
Everything you could wish for, have now stayed three times and will continue to do so.Rooms are excellent, well furnished
and very clean.Only downside at the moment is roadworks outside the hotel which have been apparent since our first visit with no sign of work being finished, fortunately this did not affect our visit, apart from the fact it was a waste booking a sea view room.
Great little hotel anif you just need a room. There's no bar or restaurant, but guests can use the kitchen which is stocked with basics for breakfast, and there is an excellent restaurant Knowledge) underneath the hotel, great food. Owners Tony & Diana are really friendly & helpful. Location is five or ten minutes walk from the city centre. It was perfect for me.
Booked this hotel as we were going to football match but also wanted to revisit places from my childhood. It’s 53 years since I’ve been back to Sunderland and staying at this hotel made the trip
Excellent value for money, very clean and comfortable
Added bonus was the craft beer in the bar.
Breakfast was also excellent
Would definitely recommend a stay here
Location was good. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to the centre of Sunderland but a drive to the beach area. Depends which one you prefer. The cottage was very nice, clean and comfortable.Very relaxing. meeting up after such a long time it was enjoyable sitting in the comfort of a lounge and catching up rather than in a hotel room or a cafe.
Very quiet at night.
Everything was great. Safe and clean ! Staff were brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I'm from Sunderland so know my way around but if your not the hotel is on the main bus route into Whiitburn and South Shields. There's lots of things to see and do. We usually stay in one of the suites, the views are amazing. I'd recommend staying here to anyone :)
this booking surpassed all my expectations!! We were in Sunderland to see P!nk and we’re spoiled, with the hotel lobby decorated with p!nk cardboard cut-outs, her music playing, staff wearing her T-shirts and my daughter was spoiled with goodies, even allowed to take a life size pink home with us! amazing service!
The rooms, particularly living and dining rooms, kitchen are very spacious. Very convenient for family group. Closely located to access Sunderland city centre and other sight seeing places. Several convenient stores also located at walking distance.
The owner of the property is exceptional. He attends and replies so quickly to all of our queries. Even those that are beyond her scope already.
The property itself is close to city centre and has a decent neighborhood.
The location was perfect, walking distance to city centre, walking distance to stadium, quiet location, very clean, facilities were excellent, strongly recommended if going to sunderland
We stayed for one night. Everything about The Lemonfield Hotel was wonderful; amazing breakfast, comfortable spotless room.
Owners were so helpful and accomadating :-)
Came to Sunderland to see a show at the empire. Stayed over at the comfort inn. Great hotel, super staff and near good amenities. Value for money will visit again
