I didn't have the breakfast, but I did have fruit, pastry and muesli in the room when I got there.
There was also a fridge with milk, water and a yogurt in.
I loved the fact that it was just like the photos ( I stayed in cocoes one)
I could sit on the sofa for the tv and to study which is the reason I went there.
Sitting out on the balcony area listening to the church bells and the birds was fantastic.
If its a quiet getaway you want then this is the place for you.
The Best Western George Hotel, located in Swaffham is a charmingly restored 17th-century coaching inn. With a Georgian facade and a complimentary modern bedroom wing.

Lovely building but the room was a bit cold!! It was out of the sun though. Great place to stay. Clean and tidy
This period property has been a coaching inn since the 18th Century, and is located in a richly historical area of rural Norfolk.

OK but not enough choice only full cooked or scrambled eggs. No cereals, no fruit. Having to order in advance not good, who know what you might fancy each morning. Having to pay extra for different tea or coffee.

Swaffham is a Georgian Market town with some beautiful buildings.
Sadly there are some buildings closed and looking unloved. It would be good to see them renovated and looked after.
There are good restaurants, pubs and bars so something to do in the evening.
We visited 'Indian Dream' and had a delicious meal.
At weekends there are market stalls in Market Square with surrounding cafes.
Swaffham is an interesting place to visit & I will be going again.

We have stayed in Swaffham a number of times and think it's a lovely place for a break. There are good pubs, cafes restaurants and 'proper' shops such as independent butchers. It's about halfway between King's Lynn and Norwich so is a good base for exploring the county.

A cute little place to visit and stay for a couple of nights with friends. We enjoyed the market and auctions and looking around the little shops and eateries.
Rasputin the Russian restaurant was amazing and worth a visit the food was gorgeous and the chef was lovely. Lots of lovely little cafes serving breakfasts/ lunches/ tea and cakes. Not to far to drive to the coast.

I hadn’t been to Swaffham before.
I hadn’t been to Swaffham before. I was pleasantly surprised by this market town and its wide -streeted central area and variety of shops. One or two buildings/retail properties needed some tender loving care, but hardly surprising in any town. A good variety of food and drink outlets and reasonable central parking.

Swaffham the town was very friendly, good variety of shops, although quiet had your usual eateries, Costa coffee, Cafes ,pubs and local afternoon tea shops.
The Red Lion pub served excellent food which we had outside on tables.
Sunday early morning walk about was lovely, people saying good morning.
Swaffham has a family of ducks wondering around the town, which are treated like celebrities, cars stop to allow them to cross the road and people in the town, see this a normal occurrence and even leave small containers of water for them to drink from.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL hotel. Our rooms were stunning. Comfortable huge beds. Had tea and coffee stuff, would have been nice to be given a non dairy milk option as I'm lactose intolerant. Plenty of towels given, hair dryer, TV etc.
The food was delicious and well presented, staff were also very friendly and helpful.
Cute little church next door, and a garden which is probably lovely in warmer months.
We stayed at the property while we attending a funeral of a family member. We travelled a long distance, but our hosts were very warm and welcoming. The location is beautiful, and only a short walk from Swaffham town centre. A delicious breakfast was prepared in the mornings which helped set us up for the day. Thank you very much for making it a lovely stay in light of such sad circumstances.
The breakfast was nice choice of food in a nice breakfast room. All of the hotel staff were very nice and helpful. We also had dinner on Friday evening with my daughter and her husband very young baby and her mother in law. We were happy that there were gluten free items on the menu and the waitress went and asked just to make sure for one of the items, one of the members of our group.
Having travelled for work in the area, we were struggling to find suitable accommodation for a large group of technicians. Lydney House, being an old B&B, suited our needs perfectly as all rooms have seperate bathrooms, all within a 5 minute walk of Swaffham town centre. Great value for money, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean! Highly recommended!!!
It was perfect. We were staying in Swaffham for a friend’s party. Location was very close to the centre of town. All fittings and facilities were really good quality. The only thing missing was a liner for the kitchen bin so we used a carrier bag instead - didn’t want to make a mess! Thanks for a great stay.
the staff were amazing! I was travelling with my son and he was poorly late at night witha high temperature. The hotel staff were so helpful in briniging me extra covers for the bed and asking if there was any morethat they could do to help. It was very much appreciated, especially so late at night.
Lovely old hotel, quiet and a very convenient location. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Large garden allowed for eating al-fresco on warm evenings. Plenty of parking space and the room had everything expected, including a fan to help move the air about on the warm nights.
The bed was comfortable and the full English breakfast was excellent - a real plate full. The 2 evening meals we had in the hotel were also very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lounge was comfortable with just soft background music.
It's a Great sized apartment, nice kitchen and shower facilities, and a spacious living area.
Located 3 minutes from Swaffham's market square, so easy access to shops and amenities.
The location was good for the purpose of our visit. Our room was at the back of the hotel so it was quiet.
The general manager was helpful and attentive after our bad experience.
Great location for walking around Swaffham. The free public car park was just across the road.
The room was clean and cosy and the hosts were polite and helpful.
Lovely friendly family-run inn in rural Norfolk. Lovely food, cosy lounge/bar/dining room, about two miles from the nearest town (Swaffham). We'll be back.
