Burnley house is gorgeous and the rooms are decorated beautifully. To be honest I thought I had booked a hotel and not a B&B due to the overnight cost (£150) but was pleasantly surprised. The lady was friendly, the room was nice and comfy and the breakfast was lovely.

She made us feel very at home and went above and beyond with many personal touches. The room (and house) was spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and had lovely views over the garden and surrounding countryside. Breakfast was excellent and to order. Quiet country side location but within driving distance to Whitby, Scarborough and the coast. Ideal for walkers. Amazing cottage if you like period building. It felt like I was in a Brontë book.

Her breakfast sets you up for the whole day and the Coronation cake she baked was incredible. Couldn't find anything not to like, and the setting was out of this world. Its a lovely old building (grade 2 listed) with very thick walls built in the 1700s. We watched wildlife from the property. After a busy day sightseeing it was fabulous to relax in a hot bath and depending on the time and season - watch the sun go down whilst in the bath.
