In an elegant country house, Stanshope Hall features cosy log fires, home-cooked food and pretty gardens. The historic house is in the heart of the Peak District, a 20-minute drive from Ashbourne. The accommodations were perfect for us! The food was delicious!

Dating from the 1580’s, Hawthorn Farm Guest House is set in a Grade II listed house, 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Buxton. It offers country-house style rooms and home-cooked food. Convenient for the town centre. Quiet. Very helpful staff.

Biggin Hall Hotel is a 3 star AA rated historic Grade II listed house of 17th Century origin with an AA awarded 1 rosette restaurant. It is set within 8 acres of grounds. We travelled to Derbyshire to visit chatworth house and booked at the hotel very last minute. We was very impressed with how we were welcomed on our arrival by very helpful and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and we were provided with a free bottle of beer and Prosecco which was a nice surprise. We also didn’t expect to receive a free packed lunch to take with us even though we only stayed for one night.

It’s located close to the center of Hathersage, and there’s a ton to do in the area. Lynne was very accommodating when I arrived early, and she has great restaurant recommendations. The room was clean and comfortable, and the lodge itself was tranquil and peaceful.

The Chatsworth Estate Cottages offer self-catering holiday cottages, set across the Chatsworth Estate and throughout the Peak District National Park. Everything was perfect.Central to all Peak District plus beautiful cottage and location.If we needed any assistance the owners were very helpful

Set in the beautiful Dovedale Valley, The Izaak Walton is a 17th-century hotel with spectacular views across the Derbyshire countryside, known for its fishing streams, a log fireplace in the front... Location and beauty, right in the middle of many walks in the Peak District. Would have stayed longer but a storm arrived the same day I did. Very classy place.

Shrigley Hall Hotel, just 15 miles south of Manchester city centre, is an impressive manor house in leafy Cheshire countryside. The historic hotel was situated in a picturesque setting, overlooking the mountains. The rooms were comfortable and adequately furnished. There was a nice bar area that included a large outdoor space with tables, as well as a restaurant onsite. While we didn't choose to use the spa and swimming pool, many others took advantage of that feature.
