Located in the heart of Arundel, this grade II listed Victorian building was completely refurbished in May 2012 to combine traditional comforts with the facilities of a modern 4-star hotel.

Quirky older property. Lovely staff. Close to castle, lots of close by restaurants and shops.

Very welcoming staff, rooms were clean, spacious and had great amenities. Bed was very comfortable! Bathroom was large and the shower heat and pressure were great. Really loved the dressing room with large mirror in our room. Very efficient check in and check out service.

Comfortable home away from home! Large bedroom with space to relax. Very clean and a delightful hostess. Breakfast was to our order every morning.
The accommodation was pretty and clean. But it was not very close to the castle and cathedral and wifi didn't work, Arundel itself was lovely, the scenery was gorgeous, the castle was eye-popping, the cathedral was beautiful. The people we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Castle Taxi service was good, and there is a quick and easy train on the Southern Railway to London. Arundel Station had a nice waiting room and one of the cleanest public toilets ever! There was a charming walk through the old town, the riverside, etc. Nice food too at the Edible Sandwich.

We didn't visit Arundel itself on this occasion, as we were visiting family in the other direction. However, I have previously visited both the castle and cathedral, which I would strongly recommend.

Arundel is a lovely quiant town, it has an impressive castle & cathedral. It has lots of bars, restaurants & boutique shops. It is small enough to walk around but has plenty to do.
It is in easy reach of Littlehampton, Chichester & Brighton by car.

Arundel has some lovely antique shops and cafes.
Arundel has some lovely antique shops and cafes. The best breakfast is at The Moathouse just across the bridge. You can walk along Mill Lane to visit Swanbourne Lake, which is free, or the Wildfowl & Wetlands centre. That is free for WWT members but well worth the entry fee if not. A bit further on is The Black Rabbit pub, where you can have a great meal by the river.

Arundel is a really quaint place with a good selection of small shops, pubs and eateries. Juniper's coffee shop & bakery is a must visit. The cinnamon buns are to die for. The Italian restaurant La Campania we highly recommend and the Norfolk Arms a great place to relax and chill. The local architecture and the walk along pass the museum and to the wet land centre really interesting & lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
The visit was pleasant. The hotel building is attractive, the welcome was good, the staff pleasant and helpful. Covid restrictions were carefully observed. Food was good and efficiently served and the standards of cleanliness were very good. I particularly appreciated being able to borrow a phone charger. It was nice to be able to sit in the bar in the evening and talk to my family. too. We were impressed with the ensuite bathroom - it was very clean and the shower was a large one.
The staff are, without a doubt, the biggest asset to this hotel, followed by great food and lovely immaculately clean rooms. We were greeted by a lovely lady on reception who was so helpful, and the restaurant staff were knowledgeable and happy, providing a fab service. The rooms were beautifully clean, and the housekeeping team was equally friendly. Location is great for Arundel. You could drive or walk into the castle/town.. Would definitely recommend it for a weekend break :)
We loved everything about this gorgeous boutique lodge. The most comfortable bed ever, the fab interiors and the generous continental breakfast were standouts. After a six week holiday around the UK we really appreciated the the extra touches that made this place feel special.
The host is wonderfully friendly too. Beats all other hotels in Arundel with ease.
Loads of parking options so I wouldn’t consider this a problem at all.
Checking in process was great with instructions sent to me. Chocolates and hand-written welcome card on the bed was a lovely touch. Bed was really comfortable. Location of Arden House is close to the town. Cooked breakfast was delicious with plenty of additional breakfast items available too. In room there was information about local restaurants and pubs. Car parking was really easy on site.
Clean, comfortable, nicely located, easy to get to and park... Hard to think of anything negative at all.
In 2021 we found the usual low-cost hotels fully booked for the Arundel Triathlon weekend, but this apartment fitted our needs on paper despite being more expensive.
Suffice to say that for 2024, we didn't even look elsewhere. And yes, it was every bit as good as we remembered.
A stylish, small hotel with only a few fancy rooms. Our room had a direct view of the Arundel Castle and a canopy, very comfortable bed. The staff were super kind and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and varied enough. Additionally, we appreciated a little chat with the host each morning. This lovely place can be definitely recommended.
Excellent location, great room with large comfy bed, on-site parking (reserve in advance). Lucie and Iain (the owners) were very friendly and cooked a great breakfast. Excellent value for money and more of hotel quality than a B&B, highly recommended and will certainly stay there again if going to Arundel.
The host was very friendly and oriented us well to the town. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the apartment had everything we needed. Fabulous location, with a view of the castle from the property, and a 5 minute walk into town. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Location really good for what we wanted and within easy reach of Arundel. Good facilities, convenient, clean and great value. Nicely decorated and modern. Couldn't ask for more and the owner was on hand if you needed anything. Will return and this is our second visit
Incredibly charming room. Really well put together, amazing tiny book selection in case you didn't take your own reading. Staff friendly and helpful and the hotel is jam packed with traditional character while being well appointed and modern.
The staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty for everyone to do - golf, tennis, swimming, cricket on the lawns, table tennis. The hotel was close to Arundel and its lovely castle and a short drive from the seaside.
A superb pub-hotel, with more style and panache than most pubs, and better service than most hotels of any size, this really is a gem. Ideally situated in Arundel's historic heart, you really can't get better than this!
I stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and it was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. The Hotel is located in the centre ofArundel and is perfect base to explore the wounders of Arundel and the surrounding area.
Quaint, architecturally beautiful little hotel in the shadow of Arundel Castle, very comfortable bed, friendly and accommodating staff. The "staircase to nowhere" in the Superior Room was a particular highlight!
This is a lovely hotel, very clean, rooms spacious and comfortable, staff very friendly, breakfast 10/10, large car park. 10 minute walk into Arundel it self. Would defenetly stay again if down that way.
location good for my visit to Brighton, bonus was that the Arundel village was lovely!
slightly pricey for this type of hotel but guess it’s peak time.
clean and easy process after a long drive.
