Beautifully renovated with local products - the room was clean and very comfortable and the food was excellent. The Inn and the village store exude community pride. I am so glad we detoured off the C2C path just a bit to experience Bampton!

Penrith is a beautiful little town. I arrived via bus from London. The accomodation was easy to walk to from the train station. I was met so kindly at check in. After a long bus ride and still struggling from jet lag, I had the most amazing sleep. The bed was very comfortable and the area is so peaceful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. It was a very lovely stay. They were able to assist me with any questions, very accomodating.

Lovely hospitality, great brekkie and comfy room. It’s a brilliant location as a halfway point on the way up to Scotland. Pub a minute away which shows the football. Perfect for a good nights recuperation
