The staff…first contact….were so welcoming, I felt I was at home! The comfy and clean room and bathroom room, the superb meals, and the staff make the Harvard Inn a hidden jem!!

Stayed for 2 nights 21 to 23 September What's there not to like? My stay was exceptional. The place itself has a cottage like vibe. It has everything you need and the decor, features etc is very high spec. Fully equipped kitchen, fridge, microwave etc. A TV with "proper" channels including netflix, very comfortable indeed. Lesley is on hand to answer and help with any questions or queries about the area and things to do. Plus they also offer a very reasonable, very flexible taxi service. Tiptop!!! The cottage is warm and cosy. It is set back in an area surrounded by beautiful green land and in a garden with lovely garden furniture and ample seating areas. It really has the best backdrop. There is also a fully equipped gym which I had the opportunity to use, very considerate to open it up for guests. The hosts have thought about everything you may need for a comfortable getaway. They were brilliant hosts, Lesley and Pat, their welcome was more like going to stay with friends for the weekend! The nicest people you would ever want to meet, hands on, making sure you're comfortable, super pleasant, engaging and just really really nice folks. I highly recommend the Glen Adorable... the name says it all!

Edelweiss Guest House er nýlega enduruppgert gistihús sem er staðsett í Southend-on-Sea, 100 metrum frá Southchurch-ströndinni og státar af tennisvelli og útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu. It was close to the sea but still relatively quiet. The room was clean and we got fresh milk :)

Viva Guest House er gistiheimili með garði og sameiginlegri setustofu í Clacton-on-Sea, í sögulegri byggingu í 300 metra fjarlægð frá Clacton-ströndinni. Absolutely amazing, very homely, breakfast was excellent

Ivy Todd Cottage er gististaður með garði í Debden, 6,5 km frá Audley End House, 13 km frá Stansted Mountfitchet-stöðinni og 30 km frá háskólanum University of Cambridge. We loved everything about our stay. Big thank you to our hosts for making our last night in the UK super cozy, comfortable and tasty. :-) In the morning it was just 20 mins drive to Stansted airport, no traffic. All was great.

The house was wonderful, the owner was sooo nice and helped us with everything we needed to know, we had a wonderful walks in the woods nearby

Victoria Villa Guesthouse er staðsett í Clacton-on-Sea, 200 metra frá Clacton-ströndinni, og býður upp á gistingu með garði, ókeypis WiFi og þrifaþjónustu. Amazing cooked to order breakfast. I was in a small single room with shared bathroom which is perfect if you are on a budget. 10 minute walk to the train station and 1 minute to the beach, shops, busses, pier, arcades etc. There are also large rooms for families and couples.

Alma Inn & Dining Rooms er með ókeypis WiFi og veitingastað. Boðið er upp á gæludýravæn gistirými við hliðina á The Pier í Harwich, 400 metra frá miðbænum. Gestir geta farið á barinn á staðnum. The best inn I have ever stayed inn! It's a 1500s building and it is gorgeous and fascinating inside. So much to look at, lovingly and tastefully restored and preserved. See pics. Fantastic staff. I didn't use the pub / restaurant but it looked superb. I did have breakfast which was 10 out of 10, see pic. The location is in the heart of the historic old town, all the streets are narrow and quaint, I managed to find parking up the street, but the whole area wasn't designed for motor cars. Be aware that the many steep stairs are not suitable if you have mobility issues or heavy suitcases, so if that's you call them to discuss your options. See the pic of the paper they gave me to help me navigate the labyrinth! Overall the best historic property I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled a lot. Don't miss staying here!
