The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. De familiekamer en badkamer (met bad) waren heerlijk ruim. Goede bedden en fijne stoelen in het erkertje waar vanuit je goed zicht hebt op één van de winkelstraten van Ambleside.

The Westbourne is een prachtig pension in de rustige omgeving onder Biskey Howe in het Lake District. De slaapkamers zijn voorzien van een inloopdouche, luxe toiletartikelen en grote zachte... Clean, tidy, comfy beds, nice amenities, great shower, nice design, space for cloths, very tall bed so you can fit you luggage beneath it (necessary as the room area is small)

Jerichos is a contemporary family-run guest house with stylish decor situated on a quiet side street in the heart of Windermere village. There is free Wi-Fi and free ample private parking. We like everything in the property. The room was clean. spacious enough. a comfy guest room upon the entrance to read books and enjoy wines. The breakfast we’re absolutely delicious with plenty of choices. we stayed there for 3 days. so far the best accommodations we have stayed in UK.

Dit prachtige Victoriaanse huis ligt op een rustige locatie tussen Windermere en Bowness, op slechts 1,6 km van het meer Windermere. Rooms were small, but very clean and comfortable. The staff and the breakfast were both excellent.

Craig Walk Suite bevindt zich in Bowness-on-Windermere, op 38 km van Derwentwater en 43 km van Askham Hall. Large room with kitchen. Loved having cold water in the fridge as well as welcome cookies, coffee and teas.

The Old Rectory ligt in Coniston, op 18 km van Lake Windermere, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. Lovely little touches that made the difference. Delicious breakfast. Really close to Coniston with lots of restaurants, bars and shops.

The Old Mill Inn is gelegen in Dearham, op 26 km van Buttermere, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een restaurant. Very clean and spacious, attractive room, huge comfortable bed with good quality bed linen, big TV, spacious bathroom, large shower cubicle and great towels, first meal in the restaurant was delicious (beef bourguignon), good local ale at a reasonable price, breakfast was mixed but full English was very good. Dark haired lady on duty on our first night was lovely, friendly and very professional (apologies for not having a name). Contact via the app was good and the code access worked well. We enjoyed our stay.

Dalegarth Guesthouse Portinscale is gelegen in Keswick, op 5,8 km van Derwentwater, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een bar. An absolute little gem of a place!! Well where to start.. when I say this is an absolute little gem I really mean it, and that is all down to Clare and Craig who run the place to absolute perfection! They really put everything into making sure that their guests are well looked after and that nothing is too much trouble. Firstly, ahead of arrival, you get a link to a web page (the guidebook) with all the information on that you could possibly need during your stay; from check in and out procedures, to local information on eating out, car parking, walking, shopping, activities, to everything and anything else in-between! I loved this! The area is beautiful, with gorgeous views from the house and the village is so peaceful. Just far enough away from Keswick but close enough to get to easily and enjoy the town. We really love Keswick anyway, and Derwentwater too, so the location is just perfect for us! On arrival we were met by Craig who directed us to our parking spot and offered us help with our bags if it was needed. We then headed around to the house and met Clare, whom showed us around. There's a lovely lounge area to relax in, and a bar where you can get a drink on an evening if you wish to. There is tea and coffee in each room with UHT milks, but what I loved was that fresh milk is available as needed too - you just take a little jug to your room from the milk in the fridge! There's also other drinks like hot chocolate, fruit teas, decaf drinks here to help yourself to. The room was lovely and really clean, with comfortable beds too. Smart TV in the room and free WIFI access were a bonus, although we didn't waste much time with technology! If you want any advice or tips on where to go or what to do, don't hesitate to ask Craig - he's full of information and more than happy to help! Clare's cooking skills are amazing too! Her flapjack is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts - set us up well for our days out!
