We stayed at Pen-Rhos in “Cuckoo’s Nest for four nights in mid January. The scenery surrounding the ‘cabin’ was breathtaking and there was enough space between each cabin for privacy. The space was small, but perfect for two and had every appliance we needed for meals and hot drinks. The bathroom was clean and the shower heated quicker than ours at home. Llandrindod Wells had a few pubs and grocery stores that were close and convenient. Surrounding cities like Newtown, Rhayader, and Builth Wells were great for pub dinners.

A very comfortable and exceptional property in a great location. Every minute detail was catered for. In our case travelling for many weeks with two heavy suitcases we were thrilled on check in to find two suitcase stands so we could each access our things from a reasonable height. Only wish we could have stayed longer this time but will definitely be back to do that and highly recommend 22 Castle Street to anyone wanting to spend time in Hay.

If you are looking for peace and quiet then this is the place, fantastic surroundings and only a short drive to town, decent facilities and beautiful grounds including a lake, very helpful and polite receptionist on site for most of the day, shame we did not stay longer but will return. 😍😍😍😍😚😍😍😍😘😘😘😘

Situado em Rhos-gôch, na região de Powys, o The Deckhouse, cabana com deck grande nr Hay-on-Wye tem varanda e vista para o jardim. Lovely place - it felt spacious for the 6 of us (including 2 toddlers!). Enjoyed the bathroom and outdoor space, and the view over the hill was great. Good communication with the owner and easy check in/out.
