Charlie the caretaker was a very nice lady. The rooms were super clean. The dorms were beautiful. The bathrooms were super clean and tidy as well. Located in the market town of Keswick in the heart of the Lake District National Park, Denton House Hostel is just a 5-minute stroll from Keswick Leisure Centre. The location was beautiful! It was across the street from the Greta River and right beside the old rail line that is now a walk/run/bike trail. It is a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of town and just over 10 minutes to Derwent Lake. My bed was in the annex with the main building with all the kitchen/dining area/common room in the neighbour building about 5 metres away. I loved everything!

Located in Thirlmere, Fisher-gill Camping Barn offers free onsite parking and a terrace. Charming barn converted to a bunk house. Bed was comfy and and the location is great for walking. Facilities have everything you need to rest and prep for a days walking including a well equipped kitchen for storing and preparing food.

With a central location 4 minutes’ drive from the train station, Kirkby Stephen Hostel lies between Cumbria’s Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. nice two bunk ensuite room - great value
