Clays View is the ideal base to explore the beautiful Peak District National Park area. Set in the heart of best kept village Alstonefield. Enjoy breathtaking scenery and take advantage of the many nearby walking & cycling trails. Dovedale, Manifold and Tissington Trails are all within easy reach. Alstonefield lies between the market towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell. Nearby attractions include Thors Cave, Chatsworth and the Spa town Buxton.
The owners are available next door and very happy to offer help and advice on local amenities and places of interest if required.
Alstonefield is (in the owners opinion) the jewell in the crown of the Peak District. Ideally situated near to Ashbourne for its amenities and shopping yet rural enough to offer seclusion and tranquility. Many excellent local pubs can be found nearby serving a range of traditional ales and food to suit most tastes and budgets. The nearest shop - Hartington Village Stores provides a lovely range of local produce and can even deliver if needed. If walking is your thing then forget the car as a different route to meet all abilities is available from the door step. There are several local tearooms that can be strategic cake refuelling stops. Wetton tearoom is open Thursday to Sunday or Hartington has several cafes and pubs. Please note that the George Pub is for diners only.
