Our building is centuries old and located within the Alnwick town walls, a stone’s throw from Alnwick Castle itself. Throughout Crux the decor is Victorian with a ‘ministerial’ and yet contemporary feel, with a tip of the hat to the wizarding world. Candlelight sets the tone as the hanging tapestries that adorn the walls echo the history of the centuries old building and the town and castle below.

Located in the centre of town just 100 metres from Alnwick Castle the property boasts 4 individually designed boutique bedrooms. Renovated and restored in Spring 2021 our luxury king size bedrooms offer en-suite facilities including walk in rainfall showers, 2 rooms also benefiting from roll top baths. All rooms offer Dolce Gusto coffee machine with complimentary pods, 43" smart TV, free WIFI, hairdryer, luxury toiletries, bathrobes, Hypnos mattresses and hypoallergenic bedding. The property also benefits from our popular award winning 90 cover restaurant and bar The Dirty Bottles . This award winning dining experience offers 14 hour slow cooked meats, local seafood and innovating burgers as well as an exciting cocktail menu. Booking is advised as the restaurant is very popular. Summer days our beautiful roof garden is the ideal place to sit back and relax with views onto the back of Alnwick Castle, with music, heaters and festoon lighting it is also the perfect place to finish the evening after a day exploring Northumberland.
