Dinner was very good, the manager allowed us to eat an early breakfast (cold) breakfast in order to cross to Holy Island. I found the manager to be very helpful and patient.

The staff were very friendly during booking and at meals. They made our little girl feel special at breakfast when something she wanted had run out. The rooms were cosy and clean. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The inn is ideally located for Holy Island and Bamburgh etc being an old coaching inn on the Great North Road. During booking process the staff were very helpful to accommodate our disabled son.

Dinners were over expensive, burger/chip £17? Venison pie, the first time ever we have had venison minced, and so little in the pie you can’t taste the venison. Again over priced. However the breakfast was excellent.

Beautiful location, I walked and bussed to some amazing places like Holy Island and Bamburgh. The food was really nice at the restaurant, I went there for breakfast and dinner every day. The room was small but clean and well appointed and the staff were very welcoming.
