Beautiful Cotswold hotel in a quiet area free from the shopping tourists. Lower and upper slaughter are what Bourton-on-the-water use to be. It is quiet, pretty and has access to a number of country walks. Bourton is an easy walk away so you don't have to fight for parking spots. Breakfast is wonderful as is all aspects of the restaurant and the very friendly staff. They can't do enough for you. Our room was a good size. the bed was big and very comfortable. The room also had a very functional desk. The bathroom is a good size and water pressure is good. Heating is effective and easy to manage. The hotel is very quiet with beautiful grounds and surrounding areas.

Freshly made cooked breakfast with plentiful options. Locally sourced selection which was very impressive. Copious amounts of tea/coffee and fresh juices. The room was quaint, comfortable and clean, with additional tea facilities within the room. Additionally, bottled water was placed either side of our bed. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Chris really went out of his way to ensure our break was memorable. We would return just to see him again. We booked in for the dinner on the second evening. Goodness me, it was first class. I highly recommend the Plough Inn, Cold Aston as a 'must visit' on your visit to The Cotswolds

Everything was great about our stay here. The owners have thought of everything. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into decorating. There were special touches like providing us with a picture to the entry to the car park area. The pub manager fit us in for dinner even though we did not have a reservation. Both our dinner and the breakfast was fantastic. Both buildings are conveniently located in the village.

We recently stayed at the Horse and Groom for five night and we can really say it has been fantastic! The owner and everybody who works there are so friendly and nice, really the best hosts you could wish for. Rooms are great and cozy and the pub with its wonderful fire place is worth your visit. We are definitely coming back!

The overall service was excellent. They accommodated all our requests even after we were a bit noisy. I really appreciate the way they took care of us during our stay.
