The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. After a long couple of days in the hills, the shower was welcome and it had the overhead option too. The food is so good and service downstairs was wonderful. Breakfast in the morning was also spot on.

Very lovely inn. Staff were amazing and caring. Good local knowledge. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. Food was yummy. Definitely worth it. Location was perfect to get to the local viewpoints and lots of things to do. Will stay here again

Breakfast was excellent and LARGE, dinner was equally good. Location is spectacular and secluded but not hard to get to with the added bonus of being close to the main Peak tourist hotspots. Service was professional, good humored and friendly and my bad jokes were uniformly laughed at (always a bonus). In summary, recommended getaway in the Peak District, great food and service, comfortable, well equipped room and a lovely place for us to stay on a VERY busy trip form New Zealand.

Very comfortable room and spacious new bathroom we're just right for our small family. Lunch selections were excellent and breakfast very good. The owner was very hospitable and generously offered to drive us into town when we had trouble securing a taxi.
