I thought I had booked simply a bed for the night, but there was cosy seating and a separate, private dining room where we were able to play games (provided) to while away the damp evening. Communication with the hosts beforehand was excellent and they recommended a great place for dinner. We were pleased to find a fully functioning kitchen complete with a proper oven which meant we could cook a full dinner. The bed was very comfortable and the stove easy to use. Our dog seemed to have a great time too.

It is a very clean, comfortable, and well-run inn without being over-fussy or modern. The breakfast was excellent and the choice of food and wines for the evening meal very good. I found the staff kind, attentive and helpful. I consider that the Fox and Hounds to be one of the best places that I have stayed at and I hope that others will think so too. I hope to return.
