A fine country inn , a very comfortable room overlooking the moors, excellent supper (choice of bar or restaurant to suit the mood), good selection at breakfast, very well cooked and presented. Excellent team on duty, very friendly yet efficient. Maisy will surely be her own "patron" very soon of a cosy inn, a natural host.

Littlebeck was a wonderful surprise! I thought I had booked simply a bed for the night, but there was cosy seating and a separate, private dining room where we were able to play games (provided) to while away the damp evening. Communication with the hosts beforehand was excellent and they recommended a great place for dinner. The setting is beautiful with access to stunning scenery and walks just moments away from the door.

Stunning location with beautiful views from the cottage! The hosts were very friendly and the cottage felt immediately like home. We were pleased to find a fully functioning kitchen complete with a proper oven which meant we could cook a full dinner. The bed was very comfortable and the stove easy to use. Our dog seemed to have a great time too.

The staff were really friendly and the food was good both breakfast and dinner. There was plenty of options for vegan or vegetarian. They had filter decaf coffee, which was a plus.

The Fox and Hounds exceeded my expectations in every way. It is a very clean, comfortable, and well-run inn without being over-fussy or modern. The breakfast was excellent and the choice of food and wines for the evening meal very good. I found the staff kind, attentive and helpful. I consider that the Fox and Hounds to be one of the best places that I have stayed at and I hope that others will think so too. I hope to return.

We were quite late arriving, but still got a pub dinner before they shut the kitchen. In the morning we had an excellent breakfast before setting off to our destination, which was a few miles away.
