we loved everything about this place. what a treasure! we spent three nights, and during the days the great location allowed us to do drive to nearby attractions. the restaurant was superb as well.

There's a lot to like! The room is very nearly perfect in size, comfort, amenities, and function. The space was very comfortable and easily large enough for two people and their luggage. The shower/toilette was super functional and very comfortable with special attention paid to the available soaps and bath robes. The coffee/tea included multiple options, crisps, cookies, and shortbreads. Additionally, the pub and available foods were perfect for an historic English pub experience.

A warm welcome by Meghan, who show us to our accommodations. Beds comfy. Clean and tidy. Plenty of parking. Food... evening meal and breakfast the next morning was fantastic. Nice quiet place. Thanks Meghan and staff for a marvelous stay.

What a wonderful stay , this pub was awesome , so clean and well maintained , room were a massive size , bed was comfy , staff were super friendly . Meals in the restaurant were beautiful and plenty of free on site parking. Highly recommend a stay here

Excellent, John and the staff were friendly couldn’t do enough for us. Clean with great attention to detail, the bedrooms were well set out and lovely hot shower after a long day’s sightseeing was most welcome. Convenient for the station. Only downside was no long stay car parking close by. Will recommend and definitely a return visit.

Beautiful room and facilities. It's the largest bed we've ever slept in! Staff made sure the heating was on before we checked in as it was so cold out.
