The room was stunning. Our view was onto another building but it wasn't about that, the design, facilities and comfort of the room were stunning, we were blown away. The small touches like the dog bowls (even though we didn't have a dog with us, we are dog lovers and noticed them), the power show (wow!), the bed, just everything :)

A warm welcome from the proprietors and a very pleasant couple of pints of ale in the gardens enjoying the views. The room was very comfortable and clean. Dinner and breakfast were both served in the bar, which was nicely decorated and had a good atmosphere. The food was excellent and plentiful with reasonable prices ensuring good value for money.

We had just a one night stay as part of a hiking trip and this was a perfect place to stay the night. Really lovely staff who let us wash our muddy dog in the garden after a long day of walking. Will certainly visit again.
