Amazing location, very friendly staff and super food. With many just having a drink after walking the fells, we felt quite privileged to be staying here

Your perfect lakes escape begins here, at our family-run hotel situated in the bustling village of Braithwaite.

Experience the beauty of the surrounding areas from our newly renovated hotel where nature intertwines with Victorian elegance. Whether you’re joining us for a family adventure, a foodie getaway or to romanticise the views towards Skiddaw; we are the perfect base for your getaway.

This was a very comfortable place to stay. We stayed in 6 different locations on a 2 week tour of England and frankly this was the best bed of any place we stayed. The room was so comfortable. Loved our stay in this recently renovated hotel. We hiked in Whinlatter Forest and explored Keswick, The Ruddings was situated perfectly in the middle. The staff were very helpful, food was delicious, and as someone traveling in a car, there was plenty of parking!

Situated in the picturesque village of Threlkeld within the Lake District National Park, The Horse and Farrier Inn and The Salutation Inn Threlkeld Keswick features scenic views towards the Helvellyn Range hills.

It all felt like a proper treat: the people were so lovely and helpful, which made us feel at ease right from the start and we enjoyed every minute. The room was super nice and comfy and the food was great. In short: It was a wonderful “homebase” to explore this part of the Lake District.

A charming coaching inn, The Pheasant Inn - The Inn Collection Group features a traditional restaurant, elegant rooms and free WiFi. Just metres from the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, the inn is a 10-minute drive from Keswick.

Cozy coaching Inn. The staff was great, especially Jan. Dinner was very good. The crumpets and croissants at breakfast were a nice touch. Our room was comfortable, clean and a good size. We would definitely stay again.

The location is perfect for lovely walks.... Kate the host goes above and beyond any guest house owner we have met. The breakfasts are to die for all freshly cooked and lots of options and are served with a smile. The rooms are spacious, exceptionally clean and are lacking for nothing. The toiletries supplied are excellent quality. Have absolutely no hesitation in recommending. You are treated like part of the family from beginning to end. Loved it and cannot wait to return.

The George is an attractive historic inn in the centre of Keswick. It has a very good restaurant, where we had both a breakfast and two dinners. The food and service were excellent. The rooms were very comfortable. There were good drying facilities for wet clothes caused by being out walking in wet conditions.

Our room was modern and exceptionally clean as is the entire guest house. Hosts are friendly and knowledgeable and make a great breakfast. Only a few minutes walk from centre of town. We have stayed in a number of guest houses, inns and hotels in the lakes and Dalkeith is up there amongst the best.
