It's such a beautiful old authentic hotel, very tastefully decorated. Lovely friendly staff and amazing food. There was plenty of free off-street parking. I wish we could have stayed longer here. Don't hesitate to book this quaint hotel with loads of character.

Contactless check in was perfect for us as we arrived late after crossing from st Malo to Portsmouth on the ferry. Room is comfy and well appointed.

the staff were professional, personal and made you feel welcome. Especially Jenny. The Sunday roast was a perfect roast, I had 4 guests with me and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Also, on Monday morning, I was late for breakfast but Jenny very kindly had a small breakfast with poached eggs made for me which is exactly all I wanted so top marks. I will return based on the quality of the staff alone.

Pear Tree inn goes beyond expectations in all areas. Its clean, comfortable, owner is extremely hospitable and kind. Hygiene products and amenities like cereal, milk, cake, coffee, and many other features made it feel like home. We took an afternoon walk on a gorgeous trail through rolling hills, stream, and sheep right down the street. Highly recommend.
