Just a nice place to stay. Not many staff, really working hard to cover a lot of bases, and succeeding. Considering the rooms are above a popular pub on a main street, we lost nothing from a very comfortable night’s sleep. Good food at dinner, and a welcome breakfast the following morning.

the service was exceptional, so friendly from the minute we arrived, one of our rooms had a gorgeous bath, very comfortable beds and the dinner was amazing. it’s not your typical country pub food, it’s very classy. we also asked for a special dessert with candles and they were so accommodating and helpful. breakfast was perfect as well, adjusted to suit your own requirements without hesitation.

It is situated on the main street but traffic noise is minimal. The rooms have recently been renovated and are comfortable Food is good but the dining areas are large and busy and somewhat lacking in atmosphere. There is no parking but there is parking on the nearby town square ( a blue time disc is needed) or slightly further away car park

The food was great - we had both breakfast and dinner and both were delicious. The staff were very friendly and it was very dog friendly. We couldn't eat in the restaurant with the dog but it didn't matter since we could book a table in the bar and that worked perfectly.

Comfy bed, nice interiors, helpful staff. Breakfast was very nice. Very good location for the dales and Settle- lots of nice walking trails, and hikes with lovely views. Good value for money. Would stay again. Booked the double room, but would probably opt for a suite next time.
