Fourways does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a comfortable and well-located guest house, just a short walk from the centre of Thirsk. The host was friendly, helpful and professional, and the car park had plenty of room. Everything as expected in the room with lots of choice at breakfast. Perfect for what I wanted.

The setting was lovely. Cosy with the log burner at this time of year, quiet. The bed was comfy and the little slipper bath good for a soak. Cute accommodation with rustic charm.

Everything went well for us on our 3 night stay, from check in to check out. We found the owners Chris and Bev to be extremely friendly and accommodating. For us the Bay Horse Inn has a rustic charm that made us feel at home for the time we were there. Bev's cooking is well appreciated by the locals and we found out why, it really is very good indeed.

For a remote rural location for walking the Cleveland way and cycling it was excellent. Comfortable and rustic charm. Ginni was friendly and very helpful and recommended a lovely bike ride through a beautiful valley to the owl pub at Hawby and then across the high ridge with views of the North York Moors on one side and the Vale of York on the other. Ps buy a mug and get a free hot drink!
