Everyone was very friendly and helpful, our room was comfortable and cute, meals were excellent, beer garden full of flowers was a lovely place to while away a sunny afternoon. Everyone made us feel at home. Very convenient for exploring Wells, Cheddar Gorge.

Nice clean rooms, very warm and cozy. It was a pleasant surprise to receive a packed breakfast as a bonus. We were mesmerized with a beautiful countryside, the building is very old, but well-maintained, and has its special charm.

Our room was excellent with a view to the hills and although overlooking a main road was very quiet due to the functional double glazing. The hotel is full of character with a comfortable bar area, friendly, efficient staff and a great English breakfast. On the night we were staying there was unfortunately no food available that evening but the landlord kindly suggested that the pub nearby might do food or we could get some delivered in. Large car park. We would definitely stay at the Highwayman again.

Hotel lovely with old fashioned style with all the charm. lovely exposed wooden beams, plenty of cosy seating inside. The food was good too. The breakfast staff Trish and Wren were helpful, good service, with nice characters to match Very good workers.
