On arrival, I was made to feel welcome and was shown to my lovely cosy room. I went to the restaurant for dinner and a glass of wine - the fish and chips were so good! The staff were very pleasant and friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. My bedroom was quiet and comfortable and I slept well. The breakfast I had (the plant based full English) was perfect.

The Lion Inn is conveniently situated in the centre of Winchcombe. The restaurant is good. We ate there for both our evening meal and for breakfast and found the service friendly. There is a good range of dishes on the menu but unfortunately several of them had run out by the time we sat down to eat around 8pm.

The rooms were in a separate building from the White Hart Inn where we had evening meal and breakfast. The room we stayed in was an oldie world attic room with sloping floors, crooked walls and a lovely view of the street. Apparently, the Methodist preached John Wesley once slept in this room.
