The Black Horse at Ireland boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Comfortable and warm. Everything we needed for a night away. Staff very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Would certainly visit again.

Opposite a Grade I listed church, The Knife & Cleaver is a AA 4 Gold Star award winning guest house. Fantastic staff, and great food So glad that they have survived COVID-19

This family-run pub and inn is situated in Bedford city centre, within 5 minutes’ walk of the picturesque embankment and the cultural Castle Quarter. This is an old historic hotel over a historic bar. It is close to restaurants and stores, with reasonable walking distance to both the bus station and train station. The room was small but comfortable. The bathrooms and showers are down the hall. They were clean.

Set in the Bedfordshire countryside, the Airman Hotel is 15 minutes’ drive from Hitchin and the A1(M) motorway. The restaurant and bar feature fresh-cooked food, beamed ceilings and a log fire. One of our rooms was really nice with a four poster bed. The other room wasn't that great
