The Sunday roast was the best we have had in the UK. The room was spacious, spotless and tastefully decorated. We stopped on the way from Edinburgh for an overnight stop. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

The ship inn's location/accommodation/gardens and breakfast was excellent, couldn't ask for nicer,such welcoming hosts my wife and I felt like we were part of the furniture and most certainly will be coming back again 😃

Location fab, very friendly, comfortable rooms....just a touch warm through the night but wouldn't put me off. Considering above a pub had a good sleep ...wasn't noisy. Allowed to leave our cases which was a great help as train wasn't until afternoon, fab location near everything, great little pub too with a great offer of a card stamp , buy 3 pints get next one free 👍 would defo stay again....five stars 😁 also had everything you needed in the room....the little bowl of sweets on the dresser is a cute touch too ...had an upstairs sun terrace , partly covered with tv showing the rugby 👍 great place to stay ...really enjoyed it. Located in Chester-le-Street, The Lambton Worm offers en-suite bed-and-breakfast accommodation with free on-site private parking. The staff were incredibly friendly, the room was newly redecorated and lovely, spacious, and comfortable. The pub downstairs had a fun quiz night on and the breakfast included with the room price was substantial and yummy. Overall, I can't fault the place and the people who work there made the experience phenomenal.

Situated 5 minutes’ drive from the County Durham coastline, The Seaton Lane Inn - The Inn Collection Group features free on-site parking and is just over 10 miles from Durham city centre. Everything. The hotel was beautiful. The staff went above and beyond throughout our stay, from our welcome to our wonderful evening meal, the quiz (which is a must), the comfy family rooms - which were so quiet and we loved that you are seperate from the main hotel/resturant. The breakfast was also delicious. We can't wait to book and stay again.

The Kingslodge Inn - The Inn Collection Group offers a cosy bar, a restaurant and easy access to Durham city centre. There is free parking on-site. their staff so friendly and kind.

We stayed for two nights at the Victoria Inn and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Michael and his colleagues were incredibly helpful and attentive. We arrived before check-in, but they still ensured that the room was available, which was a lovely room on the first floor. The inn itself is about 4 minutes walk from the cathedral and castle, and about 7 minutes from the city centre.
