Dating back to the 18th century and set in a picturesque location overlooking Chipperfield Common, this countryside retreat exudes character and charm. Breakfast on each morning was excellent. Our lady server was so nice, friendly & very helpful. We chose to eat there each evening of our stay, dinner was also lovely, as were the staff. Bar was lovely & relaxing. No complaints over all. Lovely walks around the area also to enjoy

Situated in Harpenden, a 10-minute drive from Luton Airport, The Old Cock Inn features free WiFi. The M1 is a short drive away and offers access to central London in less than an hour. The rooms were fabulous so clean and probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in when traveling, the bathroom was amazing modern clean and the bath and shower had loads of hot water and great water pressure.

A charming 17th-century coaching inn, The White Hart Hotel offers luxury accommodation, with good access to the A1(M) and a 20-minute train or car journey from London. The hotel staff were excellent, really friendly and informative of the property and history of the building. The food was amazing, we ate in the restaurant both evenings exceptional standard! Well done to all.

The lady who prepared our room went above and beyond. She really took the time to make sure we felt looked after. The pub was closed for an event for a few hours and she even came down to make sure we weren't hungry and offered us to have some food made up especially. I wish I'd asked her name as it's rare to get service like that these days! Beautiful room and location too. We will certainly be staying again!
