Accommodated us even though we arrived very late. Had a lovely breakfast in the morning. They couldn’t do enough for us.

Set in Biddulph and with Capesthorne Hall reachable within 19 km, The Royal Oak offers express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. Lovely people and a great room. Easily the best hotel in town. Would have loved to stay longer.

Situated in the small market town of Cheadle, The Huntsman is a country pub and restaurant 16 minutes’ drive from Alton Towers Theme Park. Food was stunningly tasty. Not much choice, but that didn't matter.

Set in a 17th-century building with original fireplaces and oak beams, The Littleton Arms serves local produce on a seasonal menu in its restaurant. The staff were lovely and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was fabulous.

The Dog & Doublet is a newly renovated country inn located in the village of Sandon, 5 miles from Stafford. It offers individually designed bedrooms, free Wi-Fi and home-cooked food. The staff, the food, the rooms. Exactly what we booked is what we got. Drinks and Dinner were great. My boys loved the French toast and bacon for breakfast. Some new staff were being trained and they did a cracking job. Great management who made sure we were looked after as well as their trainees.
