This is very ordinary town, but the castle is amazing - much...
This is very ordinary town, but the castle is amazing - much of the original Norman structure is there. You can follow a short but clear guided tour, and the staff in the tourist office are so genuine. The gardens around the castle are also very relaxing, and sometimes they have special events (like food fairs or open air theatre) on the castle lawn.KeithNetherlands

The hotel has a nice Tudor appearance and was in the nicest part of town. Tonbridge Castle was just across the road. There were plenty of eateries nearby to choose from. Free parking behind the hotel. Breakfast was fine.
