The lodge has a truckers cafe 24/7 open on the end near the petrol station should you require anything. We didn't as the bar / restaurant provided plenty for your £.♥️ Very quiet room overlooking a farm field at the rear of the hotel with Bamburgh castle in the distance. We loved this place , well situated for hitting most tourists spots and dog friendly.

The food was some of the best we've ever had at a reasonable price. The lodge and hot tub were both of the highest quality. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.. we'll definitely be staying again, it was a perfect break!

The only down fall was the location just off the A1 some times you could hear the traffic going by but it wasn't a big problem. One think that was not mentioned was that purdy lodge was part of a service station but you did have 24hr cafe service if wanted.

Restaurant food very good choice and beautiful quality. Looking forward to a return visit hopefully in better weather. Despite being situated just off the A1 the room was very quiet with a lovely view over fields.
