You could tell they had undergone recent renovations - everything still smelled new and looked fresh. the bath tubs are excellent for soaking after a long day outside. the food and bar (service and quality) all excellent. the Riverside inn was a little gem on our trip.

Hotel immaculate and excellent facilities. Beautiful manicured gardens. Food was amazing and staff could not do enough for us. Room really comfortable with wet room. A rural retreat! Will definitely visit again.

Rowton Castle is a beautiful 17th-century Grade II listed building, set in 17 acres of tranquil grounds, and 6 miles from the historic market town of Shrewsbury. The castle was stunning, clean and rooms large and beautifully furnished. Gardens also beautiful. The receptionist and staff very friendly and attentive.

Staff friendly and polite, dinner was superb and breakfast had a large choice of edibles.
