Adiwana is an absolute gem in Ubud. The location and hotel is perfect! The town is so crazy busy, but once you enter the hotel, it's like an oasis. The hotel and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. There is so much greenery around and the pools are divine. Our room was so lovely and luxurious. The hotel also organized a celebration of snacks and cakes for our 1year anniversary. I felt like they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The forest that surrounds this hotel is so lush and full of life, with the river running just below it at night creating a lovely soundscape to listen to. The herb restaurant that is on the property is also fantastic. Situated on the road above the hotel, it's lovely to just sit and watch the world go by. The food is delicious and plenty full, with a great selection of breakfasts. I loved that there was a warm delicious croissant every morning with our included breakfast and the cappuccino's were delicious to! The afternoon tea and cake that is included in our stay was also nice as a snack between breakfast and dinner. The restaurant had live entertainment and dance lessons, creating a lovely atmosphere for guests looking for a bit more vibe closer to your room. The location is in a busy part of the town on a side road, so, restaurants, shops etc are all within walking distance from the hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and always finding ways to make our stay better. The whole property and the rooms were sparkling clean all the time and very modern with luxury built in everywhere. This hotel is more than value for money, it completely made our stay in Ubud. We can't wait to go back!

Very nice view from room, really exotic place, in heart of the jungle but 10 min away from Ubud. The staff is amazing, always with a smile on their face and very helpful. I really recommend this place if you like to stay in the heart of the nature.

The staff were incredible - the restaurant staff, the front desk staff and the drivers who drove us round the Ubud area were also so friendly, so kind and so engaging and thoughtful. The breakfasts were bar none the best in the world - a buffet of fruit and veggies and cheese and pastries and then you order the "entree" from the menu that they bring to your table - i had the eggs benedict almost every morning since i could not get over how wonderful it was. The communal pool is a bit of a walk down the mountain which is wonderful if you are young and in good shape - I was with my elderly mother so we stayed in the room that has a backdoor that opens onto a semi private book (i think they are called classic rooms)... these rooms are up by the top of the hotel (the hotel is one of the oldest in Ubud and beckons to old Bali and is truly wonderful and magical) as the hotel sits on a side of a gorge and goes from the top to about half way down the hillside. So if you are not wanting to walk up and down stairs make sure you reserve rooms on the top and I highly recommend the classic suite.

Amazing hospitality and service from everyone seriously (Aria, Puspa - I cannot recall many names) at all times, the activities were bespoke and surprisingly fun, and the breakfast was so delicious (e.g. eggs benedict, fresh sourdough bread and jamu drinks) and come with an amazing view of the rice paddy fields, which I thought was even better than the paid ones in Ubud. The resort in general was so well designed with lots of greenery and it felt like walking in a nature reserve when you walk around. The villa inside and outside area was very lovely, clean and gave a very relaxing feeling. For the scheduled activities we did Balinese offering class, and for the paid activities we went for the Balinese cooking class, Balinese painting class and half day tour around Ubud - which were all fantastic and great for us as we did not need to plan much. I find the Balinese cooking class activity and the staff particularly outstanding, it was at the Permaculture garden area and we had a short tour of the local produce being grown, fishing for tilapia which was wonderful for kids, and then preparing and cooking 2 dishes, pepes ikan and urap sayur. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable, and they went the extra mile and brought our little one to feed and play with the rabbits during the class. Unfortunately we missed the Jazz evening at the restaurant, but you can see there's plenty of activities in this resort.

Gdas was a truly special experience. Spent 5 days there and felt great at the end of it. I was worried about the healthy eating, however I didn't need to be, the food was fantastic. The day consisted off meditation, yoga, personal training and spa treatments. All were personalised and the team at Gdas was always helpful. Highly recommend it for a rejuvenating experience
