I thought the apartment was more out of the way, but it took 2 min to walk down to a small, nice and tidy beach. Short distance from supermarkets and decent restaurants. Communication with Andrew was excellent. He was very helpful very quickly. The apartment's situation within the Hovima Santa Maria hotel complex was a plus. The view across the swimming pool from the balcony was supplemented by a nice view out to sea. Consequently we enjoyed sitting on the sizeable balcony.
