The breakfast was delicious and made upon request. They were super sweet at accommodating my gluten-free needs. We loved the dogs on the property. Everything was perfect, clean, and cozy!

The whole atmosphere was spectacular. The rooms, restaurant, bar and surroundings were absolutely wholesome. The food was nice, English and freshly made. The staff was pleasant, followed us to our room and helped with a smile when approached. Our room even had a view to a field with grassing sheep. We had such an amazing stay and were bummed that we only booked for one night.

Loved the cozy atmosphere and the decor. Could see the squirrels from our windows running through the tree and little birds singing to wake us up. Really beautiful place. Kids really appreciated the garden, there is a trampoline and a tennis court.

It was a good time. We had everything we needed. We travel with a dog and he was more than welcome. The food was great, the staff very attentive and very nice. We will definitely be back.

The Garden Cottage is an idillic country residence with a warm family atmosphere and extremely welcoming and accommodating hosts. We had a very comfortable stay in a bed that we could’ve slept for years in. All expected extras provided, such as tea and coffee, bottled water and sweet treats. Sitting down to breakfast with beautiful songs birds on the doorstep (and one very sweet Robin saying hello) was delightful. I can’t speak highly enough of the Garden Cottage. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

The landlady Tammy was an absolute superstar I have two rescue boys that are quite hard work and she really went above and beyond to let us enjoy the two night stay over Christmas. There is an entire area next to the pub where we could let well behaved dogs off the lead just one I couldn’t as he could escape so it’s not fully enclosed but very handy for nighttime toilets and we both stayed in one of the hard floor rooms which was perfect as we didn’t interfere with other guests. Food was fantastic and my friend who stayed one night with her pawpal Archie is also well travelled and very fussy so we were extremely impressed Thankyou for having us and thanks for the late check out it was really helpful.

Perfect venue for our Christmas gathering with friends - a real bonus being able to stay overnight. Great food, accommodation and staff. We loved it!
