Directly on the seafront, Awel Mor is located in Criccieth. Free parking is available along the road or in the nearby public car park. Criccieth Castle is just 800 metres away.

In the mornings, Awel Mor serves cooked breakfast. The property has a south-facing guest lounge and a patio area to the front, with seating.

Marc as a host was super friendly and was trying to help me with some tips for nice walks in the area, as I didn’t have a car there. The hotel was exeptionally clean and peaceful, the first hotel in years in which I was able to sleep without ear plugs. Breakfasts were nice. The room had everything I could need, I especially appreciated makeup removers, which are not usual in hotels. It was a very pleasant stay. The owners really care.

Featuring sea views, Hendre Cennin provides accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 19 km from Portmeirion. The property is around 39 km from Snowdon, 38 km from Bangor Cathedral and 43 km from Anglesey Sea Zoo. The property is non-smoking and is located 35 km from Snowdon Mountain Railway.

Despite the confusion of finding the place, once I actually read the instructions from Rachel, we found it. Definitely in a remote location, which was actually really pleasant. It was nice to escape from the city life we are normally used to in this rural area. Lovely comfy place, big enough for the two of us. It was a surprise trip for my boyfriends birthday and Rachel kindly provided us with birthday decorations, a cake and a bottle of our favourite wine. The place was amazingly clean, which was good for my OCD, and it was well equipt with everything you need. The location was amazing, especially at night time with the lack of light pollution, we were able to star gaze and see plenty of shooting stars. Gorgeous area, Rachel was an incredible host.

Set in Porthmadog and only 5.3 km from Portmeirion, Gwynfa offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property features garden and quiet street views, and is 28 km from Snowdon. The bed and breakfast has family rooms.

Gwynfa is like the best B&Bs fifty years ago. I had come to the conclusion that "they don't make 'em that way any more" – until I came to Gwynfa. It proved to be like the good old B&Bs I could find in the seventies. The landlady, Beryl Barwell, is a most sympathetic woman who keeps a well-equipped, tidy, clean guesthouse, with an excellent Welsh Breakfast. Would you imagine a landlady who kisses you goodbye after your stay? Everything in Porthmadog is within walking distance.

The service was amazing and the two bedroom cottage was the best place to call home for the night! It was so easy to get to Portmeirion the next day and the food and drinks where sublime!!

Superb apartment in a great location for visiting Snowdonia. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Fantastic views of Criccieth Castle. Private parking for 2 cars at the rear, which was great, particularly when there were lots of visitors using the on street parking. Would definitely visit and book again high recommended.
