The unit we stayed in was built in 1660 and has a thatched roof. I was very interested in this and the hosts were very friendly and willing to tell me about the thatch. I learned a lot.

Debbie the hostess was pure delight. Her hospitality is second to none. The room (suite) was clean, fresh milk in the little fridge for tea and coffee, and the little touches like bubble bath were greatly appreciated. Even if you don't stay, you have to go for the most amazing scones you will ever eat. Breakfast was beautifully presented and cooked. We plan to return.

We were located in a garden suite, rather than the main house, which gave us an extra level of privacy. The breakfasts, which were delivered on a trays as we completed each course, were excellent. The hostess even gave us homemade marmalade to bring back to Canada! She was also really helpful in telling us of things we could do in and around Dorchester and ran us into the town centre when it was raining, although it is with walking distance.

Tudor Cottage B&B Frampton is located in Frampton, less than 8 km from Dorchester and 16 km from Weymouth. Wonderful stay of 3 nights. We aren’t the first and no doubt the last to be treated to Louise’s generous hospitality. Her culinary and catering background show, as does her meticulous attention to detail. Towels, toiletries, every need accounted for and then some. As she warns, the cottage is small and the steps are steep but her decorating choices and touches are delightful. Be prepared for an amazing cream tea on arrival with cakes and jams, all home made. Breakfasts are equally generous and literally cooked to order. There is a nice 40 minute walk near the cottage, for dogs and people. Thank you Louise, too, for bending with our needs — after flustered arrival per dodgy GPS and heavy rain. Also for popping my soaked gloves into the dryer. 🙂
