The welcome absolutely perfect, the space of the rooms and the bathroom (perhaps you could encouter Liz Taylor in this huge bathroom !) The delicious and generous english breakfast, jam and marmelade home made The wifi equipement, USB plugs (and even for french plugs) The comfortable bedding

Great and quite place. A lot of countryside around. You can watch the squirrels all day long :) We felt like important travellers from another century in this beautiful place :)

I've been staying here frequently as I work nearby and so far I've been impressed with the Bowmans. Prices are very reasonable for a double room and the quality of the bed and furnishings is very high. The location is essentially right in the middle of Howden next to everything, with a convenience store opposite which is great for picking up a sandwich in the morning before work. Downstairs is a pub that shows Sky Sports and serves drinks until late which is great if you're into that.

If I could give the whole experience of staying at the Pig Inn more than five stars, I would! We were traveling down from Edinburgh and were going to be arriving late, so I called up to ask whether we might be able to eat at the restaurant. Eileen, (a gem of a person and member of staff - so much so, that my husband and I thought she owned the place!) said that, as the kitchen would be closing at 8.30pm, she could take our orders and the food would be waiting for us once we got there. She actually stayed on the phone with me and read out the whole menu for us to choose what we would like to eat! I couldn't believe it. The food was ready for us when we got there, and was absolutely delicious! Eileen made sure we were happy and comfortable and really couldn't do enough for us. She really made our stay so much more special and memorable. Thank you, Eileen! The premises themselves are immaculate and spotlessly clean and very very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property to stay at. I hope we return to the area because if we do, there is no doubt in my mind that we will be staying here. Bravo to all at the Pig Inn! A complete gem of a place.

Very clean and comfortable, well equipped with towels tea coffee hot chocolate biscuits etc very spacious and warm super host and breakfast was delicious. I will definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.
