Breakfast was very nice, the staff were brilliant. Only thing that bothered us was that we drove past it 2 time before we noticed it was slightly set back from the main road but no real problem really.

Ellen House Bed and Breakfast is located on the outskirts of Matlock, Derbyshire. There is free parking and free Wi-Fi access in all areas.

Ellen House has a lot to offer - very friendly and knowledgeable hosts, spotlessly clean rooms and common areas, parking (which is very hard to find in Matlock), a very convenient location - a short walk from everything and generally just a lovely place to stay. The breakfast was freshly prepared to order and delicious. Homemade preserves with breakfast were a special treat as were the home made flapjacks (YUM) in our room each day. Ellen House is also very close to the train station if that is how you travel.

Set in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, The Gables Bed & Breakfast is surrounded by stunning views of Derwent Valley. Newly renovated, it has free parking on-site and free Wi-Fi access.

A fabulous place to stay. Accommodation, breakfast and views great. Hosts exceedingly welcoming and helpful. The best place we have stayed whilst travelling in the UK for three weeks. Would recommend the Gables to anyone travelling to the Peak district.

my experience was lovely at the cables. friendly host and cosy atmosphere. the room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious :)
