The owners were very friendly and helpful. We were made very welcome on arrival. The room was lovely with a very nice shower unit. Comfy bed and a nice hospitality tray for tea / coffee etc. Breakfasts were very good and nicely made. Everything was well thought out and spotlessly clean. We'd not been to this specific part of Cornwall and the owners gave us some recommendations for places to visit, all of which turned out to be good choices. "Charlestown" is very close and is a stunning little coastal town with one of the most inspiring harbours we've seen yet. The more recent episodes of "Poldark" were filmed there as we understand and it has the right look, with real sailing ships moored. Parking was easy and the views were literally stunning. We visited both nights that we were staying. First night we ate at "The Rashleigh Arms" and enjoyed the food there. The harbour is surrounded with a number of little eating and drinking places so "al-fresco" was definitely the thing and we ate at one of them the second night. A lovely experience. We also went to "St Mawes". A lovely place again. Not to be missed. We were lucky with the weather .... wall-to-wall sun and blue skies but Cornwall can be lovely at any time. Penarth was a nice place to stay and we would do again.

Really enjoyed our stay, - great location, cosy, cute cottage, bed was like a lovely giant marshmallow and best of all was the lovely Pam and her wealth of local knowledge about things to see and do in the area. It was great to have a chat with her over breakfast (a good choice of breakfast was offered) and she was very happy to share her gardening tips and expertise. We will be happy to stay again.

Amazing hotel, spacious and well equipped room, lovely personnel and great food. Definately recommend and if I ever visit Par again, I will stay at The Royal Inn!

A pretty Cornish cottage set in floral gardens. Very welcoming hosts, excellent breakfast and comfortable bed. A stones throw from the Eden Project and Charlestown harbour. A treat to stay and we will definitely be back.

wonderful location facing the harbor, we were given the best room with two floors and full view, the best food experience we had in Southern England for a reasonable price, friendly staff, dedicated free parking just 50 meters from the hotel, good wifi connection.

The room was very spacious, a lovely large bathroom with a large shower. It was all very clean and nicely decorated.
