This is our third time staying at Thornbank House and it never fails to disappoint. Rang up on the morning for an early check in due to a poor nights sleep the night before and Fiona was very accomodating which I thank her immensely for. Wonderful breakfast and location.

The food downstairs was perfect for us and 2 young kids. Staff very helpful and kind when I asked about the egg fried rice and curry sauce! Was delicious! Would definitely stay again before our ferry. Left a daughter’s mobile and they contacted us promptly before we even realised. Perfect location for early morning ferry. Shower was amazing!!! Staff so friendly.

Top class in every way. Lovely, clean, comfortable, quiet room. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. The hot food is freshly cooked & it was delicious. Great location - only 20 min drive to Cairnryan ferry terminal. My only problem was I could only stay 1 night.

Great location..we did the swc300 route from gretna green and this was out first stop. Lovely quiet little coastal town Stranraer. Nice pool and sauna. Hotel was a little dated..but for the one night we were there, did the job of a good night's sleep.
