OMG the Ship Inn is wonderful- we can’t wait to go back. Joanne the owner is the most accommodating and friendly person, she really has this place running on full speed, our waitress Hannah, not only a talented musician but a friendly and attentive waitress. The food is wonderful, traditional yet touch of gourmet - really good. Our room was clean, light and airy, all one needs after a day of hiking !! Great B&B! Amazing countryside location, when traveling by car its a 20 minute drive from all the facilities of Newcastle. Very nice large and comfortable room with a view onto the garden, on a quiet country road with great views and with lovely hosts with great recommendations about the area. Also two very cute dogs that love to get petted. We had two amazing breakfasts with everything we might want to have; Fresh fruit, yoghurt, hot croissants, toast, various different jams, different granola's/muesli's/cornflakes, and offcourse hot coffee and/or tea. I'm sure I forgot to mention lots of things, a short review won't do it justice!

Very cozy and historic Inn with beautiful and very comfy rooms. It was the perfect stop while walking Hadrian‘s Wall Path. The service was very good and so nice, the food excellent and I felt so welcomed and enjoyed the stay very much!

Good location for an event we were attending at the Rugby Club. Very secure with coded entrance and key safe box. Spacious room, clean and comfy with towels and linen provided. Good sized en suite shower room. Great to have the option of a shared lounge/kitchen area as well. Plenty of places to eat/drink right on the doorstep.
