Merdeka Guest House 2 sijaitsee vuonna 2000 valmistuneessa rakennuksessa Kuchingissa 2,6 km:n päässä Kuchingin rantabasaarilta. Huoneissa on maksuton WiFi. Käytettävissä on huonepalvelu ja terassi. was amazing, so friendly, kind and helpful. He gave us lots of information and showed us nearby restaurants he reccomend. There was a water filter and small kitchen for guests to use, as well as a free washing machine. Each day we were offered some kind of food, roti, papaya, cakes etc.

Located in Kampung Kundasang, Spring Garden offers accommodations in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Mount Kinabalu, 24 km from Ranau. The room and surrounding are superb! Mr Lee is super nice and help us with luggage. He waited for us to arrive to show us the place. The garden is well taken care , my family and I enjoyed the place a lot with the magnificent view of mt kinabalu. The room come with heated floor- this is a very thoughtful design of the room/chalet.

Located in Damai, Nanga Damai Homestay features a garden and terrace. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge and a bar. Perfect little gem, we would go back anytime, the owners are so friendly and helpful, the outside area is amazing, you see monkeys from the terrace almost every day. We loved this place! Make sure you hire a car from Kuching, not only to get to Nanga Damai but also to explore the area, it's worth it and driving is easy, not much traffic at all. If you are fit and like hiking, Mount Santubong is waiting for you :) and the "Blue Pool" is a nice loop, as well. Kuching Wetlands by boat is fun and there's a lot more! ENJOY

VIRTA Guesthouse is great if you prefer the comfort of having your own place while visiting Sandakan. We enjoyed all the space we had and the cozy/functional outside area where we were able to cook some meals. Places like the Orangutan Sanctuary and Rainforest Discovery Center are about a 20 minute drive from the house. It is pretty easy & affordable to use Grab (Malaysia's Uber) to get back and forth, though having a car would be more comfortable. The host is also very responsive and friendly.
