Beautiful Yurtel in a great location between the Gullfoss and the Geysir. We were driving the highland road F35 afterwards, so the location was great for our purposes. The Yurtel are very comfortable inside, like a 4* hotel room. There was even a tea cattle with tea bags inside - which is great at the end of the day. The beds are very comfortable. Living among the nature and waking up in the morning and stepping outside for an amazing view to the glacier, the grassland, to the sun standing low is such a wonderful memory for us. There are toiletts and showers near the Yurtel 1, where the breakfast is served. Behind the Yurtel 1 live some wild rabbits, who don't go away - saw them in the evening and in the morning. The breakfast was very nice, there was Skyr, fruit, toast with ham, 3 sorts of marmelade and cheese and I think boiled eggs, and of course coffee and tea. We loved everything about our stay. Also nice that you can visit the Geysir and the Gullfos in the morning, if the wheather was bad last day. On the way to the Yurtel we visited the Secret Lagoon - very nice there, highly recommended, with not so high prices compared to others (50% of the Myvatn Nature baths, and is just as nice or better).

This was my first guesthouse experience and it exceeded my expectations. We got there and it was already dark. We were the only 2 people booked for the night but when we woke up there was this massive and delicious breakfast. I was astounded by all the different kinds of food they offered. I would stay here all nights if we weren’t going to drive around Iceland.

Perfect dome- high end bedroom space, fireplace thats easy and cozy to use, beautiful kitchenette/dining area, and clean modern bathroom/shower all within dome. Overall, exactly what I expected from glamping. The only thing is that if you keep the curtain open, you are about 15-20m from other Domes and hence will need to close curtains for full privacy. Super peaceful and luxe, would love to come again for longer romantic/relaxing stay. Also close to Selfoss small town 10 mins so very easy to get to.

Located in Hveragerði in the South Iceland region, Sigga’s home features a balcony. The property is set 45 km from Hallgrímskirkja Church, 46 km from Solfar Sun Voyager and 45 km from Reykjavik Art Museum: Kjarvalsstadir. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and The Pearl is 45 km away. Sigga made a great effort to source gluten free food for one of us and provided a great variety of foods at breakfast. Sigga gave us the gluten free food, that remained after breakfast, to take with us.The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding was high quality. There was a TV in the room and ample towels and other supplies. The room and bathroom were well heated. The bathroom was large and had excellent supplies of whatever you might need. Sigga was very hospitable and friendly. She told us about the area and was knowledgeable about Icelandic history.
