Really friendly and helpful hosts. She coped with our arriving early while dealing with other guests and cleaning the rooms. Went out of their way to make our stay a good one. Personal touches like these make a little hotel like this one a great place to stay.

A really interesting area that was unexpectedly busy.
A really interesting area that was unexpectedly busy. This is a really popular spot for mainly Spanish tourism as far as I could tell.
The monastery was fantastic as were the lakes that really are worth the 9 euro bus ride to get to (the only way up aside from walking or cycling).

A cute tiny city with amazing views. 15-20 mins by bus to the famous Lagos de Covadonga (lakes). I recommend taking bus as the roads are narrow and might be difficult to drive. There are restaurants, hotels and free parking. Ideal for those who want to visit Lagos de Covadonga. Also, there is a breathtaking church in the mountains.

We didn't spend much time in the city and went straight to the lakes.
make sure to have at least 2 hours there!!! such an amazing view! the lakes themselves, the mountains and the animals (cows and sheep) walking around is just breathtaking.
Keep in mind that in peak seasons cars are not allowed to go up to the lakes, and honestly the trip is a bit scary, so you can take the bus or take a taxi with a few people. but take in mind that the taxis only stay there for about 45 minutes and then take you back down, which is just not enough time.

Unfortunately visited at a very busy time-major religious festival as well as still apparently school holidays.
The lakes are lovely,as is the surrounding scenery. The buses were good and frequent.
The area closest to the buses were quite busy but we were able to walk properly away from crowds.
This is a small rural hotel right across from the Covadonga Sanctuaria. As is typical with small locally-owned hotels, the room is small and simple. The setting is delightful and convenient to the National Park and Congas de Onis (lovely town with some good restaurants). Those who complain about the humidity at the hotel need to understand - it rains a lot here and it’s humid! You can tell from the abundance of ferns and moss! We loved the hospitality, breakfast, and the peace and quiet.
Very friendly staff, amazing location (15 mins by bus to Covadonga lakes), the bus stop is near the hotel. Tasty food in the restaurant (I fell in love with the bread) and huge portions. Very quiet (it’s near the road but at night there is no noise). Amazing view from the room. Breakfast was nice as well, a lot of sweets to choose. The first night was a bit cold and the manager turned on heating especially for us. We didn’t want to leave as we felt like at home :-).
Lovely characterful hotel. Very clean and comfortable with a good size double room and large bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make sue you enjoy your stay. Breakfast was superb with freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly cooked eggs and ham, pastries etc. Much nicer than the breakfast in the expensive hotel up the road, which I also stayed at. I ate in the restaurant in the evening and this was equally good.
Excellent breakfast with great variety and nutritional value. The location was lovely along the river and a view of the cathedral/basilica. A five minute walk from other restaurants around the village and parking out front. If you do not have a vehicle they personally call the taxi service. Great place and great owners. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a home away from home on their way up to the lakes or a weekend in Covadonga.
An absolutely amazing stay in one of great hotels. Location is something of a dream. The staff is extremely nice an generous. We were traveling with a dog and they went out of their way to make even the dog comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and the facilities are amazingly well kept. It is tight next to the cave and basilica of Covadonga and just a step away from the bus stop and ticket office serving the Covadonga lakes.
Everything was excellent from the cleanliness to the breakfast and Jorge the owner who was very helpful.
The location is Perfect to see the Monastery of Covadonga and to park just inside the nature reserve to go and visit the lakes without any restrictions.
Thank you for a wonderful stay
Lovely small family-run hotel in spectacularly scenic location a short walk from Covadonga’s Cueva Santa and Basilica. We arrived late at the end of a 6-day hiking trip and the hotelier was very gracious and helpful. Our favorite hotel during a week in Northern Span.
Beautiful, classy place in stunning location. We liked having the opportunity to stay in such a classic grand hotel and it did not disappoint. We liked the big, spacious room with nice bathroom, the breakfast and the interesting places to visit in the area.
We loved everything - the location, the staff, the simple decor of the spotlessly clean rooms.. The hotel is next to a stream so you are lulled to sleep by the sound of water rushing down, and the birdsong wakes you up… I want to be back already!
Small place in picturesque and convenient location. Friendly host, nice breakfast. The host helped us to park near the hotel as it was on Sunday and the parking was full. Bus stop for the lakes is less than 10 minutes walk. WiFi worked fine.
Small friendly hotel within easy walking distance to cave, church, bus stop to lakes. Friendly, hospitable host. Excellent breakfast. Free parking available literally across the road..
