Its just in front of the beach and view from the sea-view room is very nice and relaxing.
You cross the street and its the beach.
Breakfast had various Spanish food, just what we are looking for, as tourists.
If you come by car, there is paid parking on the beach, but also free parking.
Its not the most convinent from the city and from Bilbao. If car, no problem.
Lively restaurant on ground floor and also next door. Nice eating on the balcony.
Beach is very clean. I saw cleaning service running on the beach in the morning to groom the beach.

For those eager for adventure, this is of course a suitable option! This is what we were looking for! Pablo is very helpful. The version with the shower in port is the most suitable. Don't forget to taste some pintxos in Casco Viejo!
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Getxo this weekend is € 190 or, for a 4-star hotel, € 234.99. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Getxo for this weekend cost on average around € 382 per night (based on Booking.com prices).

Beautiful place that has a lot to offer: lovely city, plenty of restaurants and bars with local food, port, beach, great for water sports, walks, running, cycling. I recommend using the Vizcaya Bridge to go to the other side of the river. It's fun!

Getxo is now a suburb of Bilbao on the sea shore.
Getxo is now a suburb of Bilbao on the sea shore. It has charm and the walk along the estuary and beach fronts are enjoyable, especially in the evening or weekend when residents get outside to socialise. Information about the grand houses on the seafront are displayed all along the walkway, with English translations. The small old fishing port is a great place to stop and have some "Raciones" and people watch. You might have to be patient for a table though as it is popular. The Vizcaya bridge is fascinating and well worth a visit. Given its proximity to the port we were surprised how clean Ereaga beach is (we didn´t get to the preferred Soplana beach some 5 km along the coast). Overnight accommodation is expensive compared to other areas along the coast. We stayed here because of its proximity to Bilbao airport (only 20 minutes by car) and it was worth staying for 24 hours.

Getxo is a great spot. you can access beaches and small towns. Great bars for Pintxos and wine. The Vizcaya bridge is here, definitely recommend a trip over to Portugalete, either on foot or in the gondola. Las Arenas is a great little town to potter around. Superb links to Bilbao. there is also a large shopping center - Artea.
There is a great walk along from the Vizcaya Bridge to the city beach.
the area is spotlessly clean and we felt very safe walking around.
Drop into the Kaxio bar for a spot of people watching and pintxos.
On the Portugalete side there is a fab Italian restaurant - Garbatella.
You can get a Barik card in the metro and it will take you all over.

There is nothing to do here if you're not a surfer. The sewage smell is making things worse. The restaurants are opening around 20 for dinner which happen to be too late for me. Parking is definitely an issue.

Getxo is obviously where the rich folks used to live, possibly still do. Lots of grand old villas and apartments. There didn't seem to be much going on, but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

Lovely interesting place to visit, from beautiful properties to wonderful beaches. Perfect for walking and stopping of for Tapas and a glass of wine. The town is interesting, shops are scattered about but plenty of places to stop and enjoy a coffee or evening meal. The famous Transporter bridge takes cars and pedestrians across to Bilboa.
A perfect place to stay for a few days. Located in the heart of the Old Port in Getxo where the Nervión river meets the Atlantic. 12 minutes walking from Algorta metro station, plenty of shops and decent taverns nearby. The apartment is beautiful with maritime-themed design (but no cheesy naval kitsch, if you get me ;). All staff support comes via WhatsApp but it's impeccable. We had a wonderful time.
Great hotel, room was immaculate with a dream view to the ocean. Bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was impeccable, with plenty of towels and great sized for a couple. Parking right by the hotel, which was very convenient.
Felipe at the bar was friendly and professional. He provided us with a great service even considering that it was very late at night.
I had a very nice, comfortable stay in Getxo, much better than expected! and wish to come back and rest there again.
Carlos is a great host, tries to see your need. He knows the neighborhood very well and gives very practical tips. I enjoyed very much talking to him, plus delicious breakfast and wonderful location of Casa Carlini Homestay.
A beautiful location overlooking the bay. The hotel is charming and I loved the decor. Great restaurant in the gardens and a covered restaurant downstairs. Food was fabulous and the crowd was delightful.
The staff at the front desk are very helpful and accommodating. I was very impressed with their attention to detail and service.
Excellent location in front of the beach in the quiet and beautiful area of Getxo. Easy to walk to tube stations or just walk by the sea for sightseeing. Easy to park around.
Good offer for breakfast.
Comfortable overall. Slightly small triple room but very functional. Comfortable beds and bathroom. Would definitely come back.
Antonio has worked very hard to make this establishment beautiful. It's perfectly clean and aesthetically pleasing as well as being calm.
A few minutes' walk from metro station Algorta and you can walk to Arrigunaga beach in 15 mins and beautiful Getxo old port (Portu Zaharra) and more beaches in 10 mins or less too.
Beautiful location. Comfortable and spacious room and nicely decorated. Amazing view. Parking available on site. Reasonably priced decent restaurant on site with indoor or outdoor seating. Lovely common areas. Easy walk to local dining. Easy walk to tram into Bilbao. Quiet. Loved the porthole window in bathroom.
- fabulous access to the beach and to the metro for going into Bilbao
- beautiful neighbourhood
- well-equipped and comfortable
- excellent house instructions with tips on places to eat
- wonderfully responsive hosts — kindly brought over fans to help cool the apartment as well as extra sheets for the sofa bed
Well designed and well equipped apartment in a great location in the old town on a bustling square with very nice restaurants. It was perfectly located for a restful few days away from Bilbao. Great beaches nearby and walkable. Hosts were kind, welcoming, and accommodating. Loved it!
Spacious with lots of history. This is part of the owners home that has been sympathetically converted into an apartment. Getxo is a great place, and the host is really helpful with a wealth of local knowledge. The water pressure in the shower was really good.
The place itself is even nicer than on the pictures. The host is super welcoming and friendly and helps you with everything you could possibly need. You feel yourself like at the 5* hotel.

Probably the best location in Getxo, beautiful promenade to the beach, proximity to bars/restau area, supermarkets, metro & bus stations. The apartment is clean, recently renovated and has all necessary items
