Beautiful small town, an emerging city kind of. If you are Muslim traveler, there are many shops for halal food. We ate in Curry house, Istanbul Kebab, Carlos pizza etc.

Guadalajara is a traditional Spanish town.
Guadalajara is a traditional Spanish town. It is very quiet with some lovely restaurants, beautiful churches and lovely parks.
It is easy to get round as it is only small. Would recommend for a short break or to use as a base to explore the surrounding areas.
There is a lovely cocktail bar/exhibition space called Cocktail Blues for those who like cocktails and photographs.

Other than beautiful parks there is nothing much to see in this sprawling modern town. The Palace of the Infantado which was my main reason to visit only opened till 2pm (and that is during summer tourist season). Needless to say I was met with closed doors. The other 2 sites, the Pantheon of the Duquesa and cathedral are not worth the time and effort. These monuments are far apart. If you arrive by train expect a 30 minute bus ride to reach the city center. Nearby Alcala de Henares is 20 times more interesting with its rich architectural history.
This is a typical (former) Ibis Hotel. It's on the outskirts of town in an light industrial area
The town centre is a bit of a treck away
There are supermarkets near by
There is a very good burger bar near the hotel
The staff were fabulous we had an incident of a flooded bathroom and it was immediately dealt with to our satisfaction.
The staff were helpful at all times They are this hotels greatest asset
There is a bus service to town but it would need to be researched to find where it actually goes and how you get tickets
What a great place. In real life it is even better than the photos. It is small but a very good layout, has everything you need with a great service from the host. The living room is small and cosy and has a lovely view. The hosts really put effort into making sure the place has everything including all the touristic information you could need. Everything was great, I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy place to stay in Guadalajara.
Alicia was an excellent host! She welcomed us upon check in and was very friendly and helpful!
The apartment was perfect for our 6 nights stay in Guadalajara it was very comfortable with everything that you need for a good stay and in a very good location! Many thanks Alicia for everything!
Breakfast and all restaurant-related people were awesome. being able to charge the car was great as well, as was the design and presentation of the place.
The hotel was not super easy to find, but once found it is a great location.
They close the entrance door and the parking door, call for it to open and they feel annoyed. In case of an emergency in the hotel (fire) people would not be able to leave the hotel and the hotel would be poorly cleaned. 😡😡
Spacious family room, friendly staff at check-in and at the bar, ample breakfast, easy parking - a good option if you are coming or going from MAD airport in this direction, as the access is an easy 30 min away.
The hotel was right next to the motorway but we didn't hear any noise because of the good windows.
The room was comfortable and we had a good and cheap dinner at the hotel.
This was a low cost central location which was no frills but excellent value for money. helpful staff and no problems gave us a most enjoyable night and stay at this hotel
