Welcoming and friendly staff who found time to talk with guest. Owners have created a beautiful space with lovely communal areas where guest can get together. The feeling I had being there was like a backpackers hostel from my overseas travel days but in a much, much nicer setting. Continental breakfast lovely served in beautiful dining/ lounge area. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay when visiting Snowdonia.

Great clean, tidy spacious apartment. With fantastic views from the front.
Clean well presented with welsh cakes and bread to welcome us.
Bath was luxurious and a great addition.
Very much enjoyed.

Beddgelert was where we spent many happy family holidays, forty+ years ago, and I felt like reminiscing.
The beauty of the village and area still blew me away.
I now have mobility difficulties, so was unable to do the walking I used to, but proximity to the rivers and mountains made it easy for me to still drive and take lots of photographs.
Most necessities are available in the village stores, and anything else can be found on a quick visit to Porthmadog.
I didn't realise how reliant I had become on technology 🤦🏼♀️ so having no phone signal threw me for a while, then became a blessing. Wi-Fi is available when signed in to a local network.
Recent popularity has been gained through Beddgelert being used as a filming location in "Mr Bates vs The Post Office" , and I was lucky enough to have accommodation above Bistro Hebog, whose garden was used.
What can I say? The people are wonderfully kind and friendly; Beddgelert is better than home from home.

A lovely village with good walks. Bus services to Pen-y-pass and Canaerfon. Book places to eat in advance as get full. Lovely cafe by river opposite side of bridge. With outside kiosk, garden.
Easy reach of many sights and places to visit.
Shame about our hotel, looks lovely outside, room awful.

Lovely little village with plenty of walks on the doorstep.
Lovely little village with plenty of walks on the doorstep. You can do an extended walk all the way up to Snowdon with the option of a bus or train (when it’s running) on the way back. Small array of shops and eateries but the Bistro Hebog had some of the nicest food at a great price we had had for a while. People were friendly and it was great to have a decent outdoor store in such a little village. Worth returning to explore more of the area.

Lovely village.
Lovely village. Book dinners as everywhere gets booked up super early and closes early. Super pretty. Colywn cafe is a must stop, the food is delicious and a gorgeous little gift shop. The staff in the Prince Llewelyn pub are brilliant, friendly and accommodating, welcoming. The outdoor clothes shop has great offers and they can’t do enough to help you. Great atmosphere and super close to mount Snowdon if you fancy a climb.

Reading the 1 star reviews before arriving worried me abit, but on arrival the staff were very friendly. Entering the room it was very clean and tidy and all fresh towels ready and waiting for us.
Hotel had WiFi which had good and bad spots in our room on the third floor which the staff warned us about, it was nice having peace from the outside world if I'm honest but we could catch up when we wanted to.
We had breakfast in the hotel and a evening meal, both were lovely and high standards of ingredients.
Loved our stay and would love to go back again, would highly recommend.

A beautiful village at the base of yr Wyddfa perfect for walking and touring North Wales. There are many local walks, all beautiful and clean. Beautiful lakes and rivers surround the village. Things to do include visiting the Copper Mine or riding The Welsh Highland Railway which terminates here, so great for local trips.
Local buses, if you don't drive/want to drive.
Tourist Information office in the village, a local village shop, craft, outdoor gear and coffee shops and restaurants ... and a fabulous ice cream parlour!
And, of course, central to this are the mountains, with treks varying from relatively easy to down right difficult!
The apartment is very comfortable. It is spacious, well furnished, equipped with everything needed for a good stay. The property was very clean and organized, and looks managed by someone who cares a lot about your comfort as a guest.
Beddgelert is a great place to base a trip to explore the Snowdonia National park. It is a lively little village with everything you may need, and a few trails you can take right from the apartment. There are a couple of cozy restaurants just a few steps away from the property.
Not sure why this little hotel has such a low rating, our stay was lovely! Sure, the property didn't offer catering, but there are plenty other options in Beddgelert and in case of emergency there are some snacks in the hotel bar. The staff was super helpful and welcoming, the room was comfy and cozy, bathroom seemed to be recently renovated, all very nice and clean. If I ever return to this beautiful part of the world, I'll be more than happy to stay here again.
The welcome and level of service from all staff was excellent. We had our evening meal in the hotel which was delicious and served in a very attractive dining room. Our room was clean, with all the facilities you'd expect and had a particularly comfortable bed. The location was excellent, positioned in beautiful surrounding countryside but within easy walking distance of bustling Beddgelert and an easy drive to access Snowdon and surrounding mountains.
Spacious cottage in a very quiet and private location as it's along a private road. Ample and safe parking. Lovely views of the Welsh mountains all round. Good kitchen facilities. Nice log fire with wood supplied which lasted us the weekend. Good shower and water pressure. Comfortable bed. Great walks from the door. Nice walk into Beddgelert with a choice of pubs and restaurants. Will be back
Very warm welcome from all the staff at the property. Room very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. A great location, nestled in the woods but also a close walk into Beddgelert. Also the optional dinner service was great and very glad we chose to eat there one night. The honour bar is a great idea and very easy to operate. Would definitely recommend as a base to explore Snowdonia!!
Bryn Cilio is a beautiful cottage, situated in the lovely little village of Beddgelert, surrounded by mountains. It is very spacious, with large living room and a big separate kitchen. The bedrooms (with a bathroom each) were great too, with really comfortable beds. The hosts were really friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. We had a wonderful time!
Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived. The hotel and the village in general were picture perfect. Hosts were amazing, breakfast was beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were well advised about where to eat in the evenings. Perfect location to visit Gelert's grave, and bus stop for Snowdon was a 2 minute walk. Room was immaculate.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was tasty (breakfast and dinner) and a good choice of dinner menu presented at reasonable prices, hotel location was convenient for Beddgelert village, room was comfortable and clean, very useful to have free parking, the free wifi worked well.
Exceptional house: modern facilities smoothly aligned with a historic building. Warm, comfortable: lovely details. Beautiful location: private, quiet, yet close to Beddgelert. Lots of information available about local walks, places to see. Incredible views of the mountains.
Very well equipped room, with some thoughtful touches, which was very clean and comfortable. Lovely modern bathroom. Very well situated in the middle of Beddgelert with easy access to the town's pubs & restaurants. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
I liked the location of the Sygun Fawr Country House. The quiet locale along with the wonderfully friendly staff as well as the proximity to the beautiful village of Beddgelert made for an amazing vacation.
Really relaxing trip really liked that we could walk to the start of the Watkin path
Loved the goats that roamed in the mountain garden
Liked that we were close to Beddgelert
